Supreme court busy yesterday; More volcanic activity.

A Colorado baker refused to bake a cake for a couple of the same sex about to be married.

I’ve got some issues on yesterday’s Supreme Court decision that this Baker was within his rights to deny working for those who crash with his religious beliefs.

First, does this guy really think God will get mad at him is he bakes a wedding cake for a couple in love? Is God possibly so mean He doesn’t think gay people should have wedding cakes, be allowed to drive Uber, get on an amusement ride, whatever service being offered by an owner that does not approve of gay couples?

Now I do not, I really do not believe that two people of the same sex should be allowed to be married. Marriage should be between a male and female as I see it but if two people of the same sex can, by state law, be legally married, well I’d be sure to bake a cake and make a hefty sum.

Further, it confuses me, this Civil Rights law and these gay guys just wanting a wedding cake.

I marched back in the sixties, Martin Luther King was my hero. Plenty of black people were denied service at the local diner because…..well the owners didn’t like black people.

The Civil Rights law compelled that no one be denied service based on color.

There’s also rules preventing discrimination because of faith, creed and sexual preferences.

So now we can deny gay couples a wedding cake?

I do, with all good intentions, respect that baker and his religious beliefs.

But denial of baking a cake, WHICH THIS GAY COUPLE WILL PAY FOR…seems really childish.

If the Colorado baker feels that strong about it, get those politicos working on making marriage just between a man and a woman!

I know quite a few Guatemalans. Goodness, volcanos are exploding in Hawaii and now Guatemala.

They should be glad they now live in Georgetown Del. As Guatemala is consumed, as I am to understand, with choking and killing black ash.

Causing more global warming too, I might add.

Eagles White House visit cancelled

Some Eagles players said that the players who refused to attend the White House ceremony did not refuse because of Trump’s position for standing for the National Anthem.

What a shame these people have done to a once glorious American sport. Somebody, somewhere, is behind the scenes on these matters and I have my suspicions.

Because the team owners did not want to stand by and allow their business to be beat down to zero by its very own employees.

But they always find a way, don’t they?

They don’t impress me one bit with their silly and costless bravado.

Quote below:

Donald Trump has announced the plans for the Philadelphia Eagles to visit the White House to celebrate the Super Bowl victory is officially OFF ... and POTUS is making it seem like it was his decision.

….

The team was scheduled to visit on Tuesday ... without several key members from the team who opted out as a way to protest Trump’s stance on the national anthem.

But Trump says the “smaller delegation” of players who accepted the invite are no longer coming because “the fans deserve better.”
…..
“I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United Army Chorus to celebrate America.”

The nerve of Bill Clinton

First off, I simply had no idea that Bill Clinton wrote a book in conjunction with James Patterson: “The President Is Missing.”

It’s fiction!

Man those Clintons don’t miss a dime do they?

If it ain’t taking silverware from the White House it’s claiming furniture that ain’t yours. If ain’t giving a speech for the joy of it, Bill gave speeches to Russia for half a million bucks a speech.

Does anybody think the Russians so valued Bill Clinton’s rhetoric?

For the last few months, a major story , even in the lying Lamestream media, has been this “Me Too” thing, with women coming out of the woodwork accusing such as Matt Lauer, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, and many, many more including that very ugly chef once on The Chew.

All of them turn out to be creeps although I can understand with Harvey Weinstein. I can’t even cast a glance at that guy without wanting to watch him strip and take a shower. I bet he has all the women wanting this and poor guy probably has to fight them off.

So Bill Clinton, who 20 years ago GOT IMPEACHED for his sexual peccadillos (well actually coaching someone to lie to the grand jury) now comes out all smiles about his new book with Patterson and ready for the applause.

Only he is now being asked about Monica Lewinsky, Juanita Brodderick and Paula Jones (”drag a fifty dollar bill through a trailer park).

Clinton raped Brodderick against her will, bit her lip while doing it, and after done he advised her to get ice on that bleeding and swollen lip.

The world is now a bit more informed about such unwanted gropes and molestation, yes METOO….I could add a couple of paragraphs.

But Bill Clinton, along with Hillary’s help, awaits endless cheers and putting a loving impression in the minds of the public.

AND HE’S SURPRISED THAT ANYONE EVEN ASKED ABOUT IT???

How dare they?

That was 20 years ago. No need for him to be sorry. He got punished already.

Or so says Bill Clinton.

I pray that someday this country will be rid of the Clintons.

Make America Great Again.

Wasn’t there a period, couple decades ago, when the Miss America bathing suit competition was eliminated?

Maybe it’s my bad memory.

Yesterday it was announced that the new and modern Miss America does not to parade around in bathing suits/bikinis.

It’s a brave new world, Gretchen Carlson (sister of Tucker) tells us. Miss America is a modern woman and doesn’t need to increase her value by showing lots of skin and wearing elaborate gowns.

We need to communicate more with Miss America, find out how she feels about things, does she like social media, is she political?

Well I just don’t know. But my bad memory recalls that eliminating the bathing suit did not work.

People stopped watched.

Bear in mind it’s my bad memory.

All this week it’s been hinted that the IG report regarding the FBI and DOJ handling of the Hillary email scandal is going to be released this week.

The leaks have begun.

It is said the fine and noble James Comey is charged with being insubordinate. Another leak is that the IG thinks Loretta Lynch handled the investigation of Hillary badly.

Well who is surprised at this?

Lynch meets Bill Clinton in an airplane, on the tarmac. I feel pretty certain that cash was exchanged, but have no proof.

In due course, let’s fire all these people, replace them with dedicated and loyal people, the hell with them all.

Robert Mueller spent 17 million so fire investigating Trump for the Russian collusion non-story.

STOP IT!!!!

JUST STOP IT!!!

Let Trump be president, he got elected. Let Comey leave the national stage as he was fired. For God’s sake send Sessions back to Alabama, good for nothing.

Friday Date-6/8/18

“Didn’t you people burn down the White House?”

It was a most ordinary of news days except for that bit about getting the IG report currently being re-written by Comey, Mueller, Strzock, that whole gang of traitors.

So President Trump is speaking to the young Trudeau boy from Canada and it seems that voices got raised.

Trudeau declared that America and Canada are the best of friends on the planet so far as countries go.

Which is probably true.

Then President Trump asked, with his tongue-in-cheek I’m betting, if the Canadians didn’t once burn down the White House.

Now this anecdote, of course, drove the gobble-gobble press nuts, many of them pointing out that it was the BRITISH who burnt down the White House in the War of 1812.

It just so happened that Mark Steyn, once a live-in citizen of Canada, was filling for Rush Limbaugh.

Steyn pointed out that back during the War of 1812 that Canada was a part of the British Kingdom.

So it could very well have been Canadians who burnt down the White House at the command of its army, based in Great Britain.

Myself comes from Maryland and the War of 1812 was fought mightily on our shores at the Battle of Fort McHenry. Our Star Spangled Banner was written there.

So the War of 1812 is a big deal to Marylanders and we’ve learned a thing or two through the years.

At any rate, I thought it was a most hilarious comeback, asking the Prime Minister of Canada if his country didn’t once burn down our White House.

Great comeback, funny, tongue-in-cheek, glib.

But the media is so mad that Trump got the War of 1812 so wrong, much less gathering a few smiles across the fruited plains.

Saturday Date-6/9/18

There were, or are about to be, three deaths these past couple of days. All three of them had an impact on my life.

Anthony Bourdain was a very good writer and I loved his book “Kitchen Confidential”

One cannot drive down Route 1 by the ocean down my way without passing a HUGE outlet store: KATE SPADE.

When I first moved here I loved the outlets (I’m older now and thrift stores are more my speed) and Spade’s handbag outlet was my favorite. She made the best pocketbooks ever and because it was an outlet, I got them fairly cheap.

Finally, Charles Krauthammer submitted a letter informing his co-workers, and the world, that he has but a few weeks to live.

I always enjoyed Krauthammer’s poli-talk although I by no means ever agreed with all he said.

Krauthammer dived into a pool in his youth and broke his back. He has been paralyzed from the neck down ever since.

Charles wrote a lovely note declaring he had a wonderful life and hey, this is a guy who lived many years in a wheel chair but he survived, wrote and opined.

Bourdain and Spade both committed suicide.

Suicide.

They had everything yet they chose to die. Krauthammer has only his brain and he fought mightily to eke out ever second from life.

Go figure.

I strongly disagree with you on the Colorado baker.

Love takes many forms. So does lust. Finally, in humans at least, so does sex.

Combine love, lust and sex between a man and a woman and is beautiful, natural and when blessed by God, Holy. And yes, that is my opinion, and as long as I’m in a free country I’m sticking with it.

The Bible says that sex between men is unnatural and sinful. And that’s God’s chosen writers who wrote that (Saint Paul, for one).

The cake baker was in his rights not to make the cake and commit what he saw as a sin. Sure he could make some money.

Judas got 30 silver pieces for betraying our Lord, too.

And why is it any interest of the state that some bakers won’t use their skills to make a particular person or persons a cake, and punish them severely for it? Are we a free country or not?

The cake maker just doesn’t make cakes in some factory, but puts his best artistic efforts into it. The work is based on his inspiration, and if he’s not inspired then he cannot do his best work. How can anyone COMPELL him to do so for ANY reason?

The gay couple in question went out of their way to find and punish this baker, even researching for the most Christian baker of fancy baked products they could find. That’s just harassment and religious persecution.

They could have shopped around, as most couples do, to find the perfect cake and price, if that’s what they truly wanted. But they had an agenda already in mind, and it wasn’t getting a cake fro their wedding.

Many couples don’t buy the best cake because the price is too high. Should we compel cake makers to lower their prices to accommodate the poor? Are not the poor discriminated against because they have less money?

"So now we can deny gay couples a wedding cake?"

The gay couple was not denied a wedding cake. They could have bought any premade wedding cake available in the store. What they were denied were the WORDS on the wedding cake that the owner did not believe in. The government should never force a citizen to profess WORDS he doesn't believe.

does this guy really think God will get mad at him is he bakes a wedding cake for a couple in love?

Probably, it makes him complicit in a sinful act. The New Testament makes several references regarding the issue, and most protestants were taught that two men cannot be married.

Is God possibly so mean He doesn't think gay people should have wedding cakes?

Mean? God is always opposed to the handiwork of Satan. God will not be mocked!

Queers also should never be allowed to adopt children, nor for that matter be anywhere near children.

if two people of the same sex can, by state law, be legally married

Well..."state law" is wrong!

Marriage is a tenet of most if not all religions, even outside of Christianity. Any sect that embraces it, isn't much of a religion.

I cannot speak for James Michener’s personal views, but I have read many of his works.

About 55 years ago, he wrote ‘The Source’ which I have read more than once and hope to read again soon.

If you are unfamiliar with the work, it is an interesting compilation of stories set in a particular geographical location but spread out over hundreds and even thousands of years. Fiction yes, but with many genuine historical attributes.

In one chapter, ‘An Old Man and his God’ the issue of a generation gone rogue is raised. That part is supposed to represent the forebears of Abraham and what ultimately became the basis for the Monotheism which eventually was the foundation of what these days we think of as Old Testament.

Anyhow, the notion of free lifestyle sex and anything goes is presented as abomination. Now ultimately, the Hebrews did come to adopt this concept and incorporated it into their Law.

These days of course, the notion is considered as laughable, and the Law has gone 180 degrees on such matters.

Whatever, the real point is, that nobody can be compelled to participate in something that they find to be abhorrent.

That case was most certainly not about cake but rather it was a much more sinister endeavor.

That ‘couple’ ought properly be fined for a number of reasons, essentially for intentionally wasting assets and time of the courts. Personally, I would toss them in the klink after imposing a fine equal to every thing of value of theirs, especially their money.

They are destructive not only to themselves, but also to the pillars of western civilization.

I got no time for their BS nor am I sympathetic to their mental problems.

They are vile people.
