The only fantasy here is you thinking POTUS could have plausibly withdrawn Sessions appointment in the middle of his confirmation process due to his offer of recusal. Had Trump done that it would have been the biggest firestorm in DC since Watergate. Guaranteed.

IIRC it was Frankenstein of MN that questioned Sessions on the ‘law’ that disallows one to investigate them self. By law Sessions could not. investigate the Trump campaign. How else can President Trump educate the general population? What mass media outlet has ever truthfully covered the crimes of the Clintons and obama and Congress. My guess is the majority of Americans have no clue who is the Attorney General. Trump speak stimulates the act of questioning by people who normally do not care.
