Skip to comments. The Bigger Story Behind the James Wolfe Indictment…(More leakers about to be exposed)
Posted on 06/08/2018 6:41:43 PM PDT by Bigtigermike
From the indictment [Note Male-1 is Carter Page]:
Reporter #1 is likely Manu Raju of CNN. Reporter #2 is definitely Ali Watkins of New York Times. Reporter #3 is likely Marianna Sotomayor of NBC Reporter #4 is likely Brian Ross of ABC
Accepting there has been a great deal of work on the leak investigation; and accepting the purpose therein; the Wolfe indictment appears strategic in that it captures four of the largest media outlets within the net. Four mainstream media enterprises are now on notice. With more than six months of investigation, and with the timing of the indictment becoming public, its likely the FBI leak task-force caught more than just Wolfe.
Wolfe is simply the first to be identified. Suspicion: Wolfe will likely lead to Dan Jones.
On December 15th, with the evidence and admissions therein; and specifically noting the FBI showed Mr. Wolfe photographic evidence (he was also under physical surveillance); James Wolfe opened the door to an investigative path that was almost certainly followed. In essence, anyone in contact with Wolfe would now be inside the investigative review.
This is important because Wolfe wasnt arrested until six months after he was clearly busted. Within this time-frame other people would be under investigation.
The FBI would be able to use the information gathered from Wolfe, and exploit his compromise, for search and surveillance warrants on other participants within his contact circle. The investigators would not want the downstream participants to know.

Brilliant work. This is actual investigative journalism.
It’s been a slow train, but I think it’s picking up speed nicely.
And for the record: I still trust Sessions.
for the record ... me too ...
‘And for the record: I still trust Sessions.’
And Sessions trusts Rosenstein and Rosenstein is running Mueller who is in Destroy Trump or Bust mode.
Meanwile, I bet Awan will Awalk.
So you actually trust a professional Republican politician?
Why would you do that?
This story actually vindicates the DOJ in its ongoing stonewalling of Congress.
I smell Schiff. Adam Schiff. He is part of this club of leaky traitors.
Because Trump trusted him enough to appoint him. Was that a trick question?
Philly Inquirer desperate to defend the journo...but this does at least mention the “tens of thousands” of electronic communications Wolfe & Watkins exchanged!! how did they find the time to do anything else?
8 Jun: Philadelphia Inquirer: Temple grad Ali Watkins, a New York Times reporter, at center of debate over press freedom and government leaks
by Michael Boren; Staff writers Joseph A. Gambardello, William Bender and Robert Moran contributed to this article
Who is Watkins, and why are authorities interested in her?...
Watkins, who interned at the Philadelphia Daily News in spring 2013, started a personal relationship with Wolfe sometime around December 2013 when she was a Temple intern working with the McLatchy-Tribune news service, according to a federal indictment. The relationship continued after she graduated in 2014 until last December, when she joined the Times, the indictment said. Before joining the Times, Watkins had also worked at the Huffington Post, BuzzFeed and Politico...
Its indictment, which identifies Watkins as Reporter #2, says she published dozens of news articles about the committee and its activities, and that she and Wolfe ***exchanged tens of thousands of electronic communications, often, including daily texts and phone calls. The two, the indictment added, frequently met in person, including at restaurants and her apartment...
The Times said Watkins told the newspaper about the relationship when it hired her. She also had disclosed the relationship to BuzzFeed and Politico editors...
should have added her relationship with Wolfe no doubt helped her get jobs with the FakeNewsMSM.
Because Q told them to TRUST SESSIONS and they’d rather blindly obey Q than trust Trump.
“Sessions should have never recused himself and if he was going to recuse himself he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else.”
This shows for certain that real prosecutors have been working.
Search warrants, which requires a US Attorney and a Grand Jury, were executed against Ali Watkins in February or earlier. Surveillance of Wolfe was underway prior to his December interview, possibly also from a Grand Jury (but possibly counter-intelligence).
This certainly indicates that the NY Times, CNN, NBC, and ABC at a minimum, were likely the subjects of wider surveillance and search.
Wolfe may have just opened the door to surveillance, but the surveillance itself has likely uncovered much more wrongdoing, and bigger fish by now.
and note how NYT didn’t fess up until the day of the indictment of Wolfe. guess they were hoping it wouldn’t happen.
like the song said- let it be, let it be- and take difi with em!
Republican liars are good at fooling people.
Look at all us Republican voters.
Was that a trick answer?
Well Q is super cereal and you need a secret X decoder ring and all, and there are pictures of pens and stuff to prove it’s all on the up and up, so...
I guess I can see how a bunch of frickin’ idiots buy into “Q”.
