Former NFL Pro Bowl tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. was arrested Thursday afternoon for his alleged connection to a burglary at a mobile home park in California.
Authorities responded to a possible burglary call at Park Encinitas Mobile Home Park around 2:40 p.m., The San Diego Union Tribune reported.
A resident who called the police tried to confront the suspect, later identified as Winslow, before he allegedly fled the scene, according to the paper. Authorities were able to track down the vehicle and arrested Winslow.
The former NFL player was charged with first-degree burglary and was held on $50,000 bail, the paper reported. He faces up to six years in prison if convicted.
Winslow's father, Kellen Sr., is a Hall of Fame tight end who played nine seasons with the San Diego Chargers and is considered one of the greatest players to ever play the position.
Kellen Winslow Jr. was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2004, and despite a series of injuries that threatened to derail his career, the 34-year-old became one of NFLs best tight ends during his time in the league.

“burglary at a mobile home park “
That’s low
....and getting caught doing it..................
Couldn't the same have been said about the gladiators, or ulama players?
I guess he won’t be invited to the Whitehouse?
I’m going to go out on a limb and say it involved drugs
The Cleveland Browns passed up on Ben Roethlisberger to draft this guy out of The U. Thank goodness; I’m a Steelers fan!
Gee, how shocking?
At least they stood and showed respect both for the ones watching and running the events. Besides, I won't watch NFL Football this year for the same reason as last year.
I just want to say, what happened to his NFL money, that he’s involved in crime now? These players make huge amounts of money during their careers. They should be well set money wise when their playing days are done.
No. He didn't.
If todays professional football players didnt have huge stacks of money and an organization willing to bail them out of jail whenever they need it so they can make more huge stacks of money, they would just be common criminals and thugs.
I don’t want to say it was drugs but.......
Yeah, you better not go home after that one.
“But he owed me $4.12”
I also think that stealing from someone living in a trailer park is about as low as you can go.
Incredible that after making tens of millions playing a game he reduced himself to burglarizing a trailer park.
Ha Ha!
UofMiami....aka Thug U.

He should be charged with violating Sutton’s law.
