Top British diplomat on Trump: There is a ‘method in his madness’

U.K. Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said on Thursday that he is growing to admire President Trump, saying there is a "method in his madness."

“I am increasingly admiring of Donald Trump,” Johnson said in a leaked audio excerpt from an appearance at the Institute of Directors in London, obtained by BuzzFeed News.

“I have become more and more convinced that there is method in his madness," he continued.

“Imagine Trump doing Brexit. He’d go in bloody hard… There’d be all sorts of breakdowns, all sorts of chaos. Everyone would think he’d gone mad. But actually, you might get somewhere. It’s a very, very good thought," he said.

Johnson has previously lobbied against Trump's decision on the Iran nuclear deal.

Johnson's comments come before Trump is set to make his first official visit as president to the U.K. in July.

Trump has also clashed with London mayor Sadiq Khan, who hinted in April that there could be protests in the British capital during Trump's visit.

"If he comes to London, President Trump will experience an open and diverse city that has always chosen unity over division and hope over fear. He will also no doubt see that Londoners hold their liberal values of freedom of speech very dear," Khan said in a tweet.

“Brexit” was not a fluke. UK is in a better headspace than France, and certainly Germany...but the E.U. chains will take a while to break. And once they do, real Europe will emerge.

I absolutely love president trump. I have no doubt whatsoever that he loves this country. He will go down as one of our greatest presidents. No doubt in my mind.

Actually France has a solid-minded “silent majority” but Macron’s geopolitical game is too anti-Trump still.

I think Scotland still wants to Remain.
Ireland and North Ireland are always a puzzle.
I wish England luck in separating themselves from the EU.
Taking far longer than I had expected.

“Brexit” was not a fluke.

I don't see where anyone even claimed it was in the article. But since the vote it has become a joke, that's for sure.

There is a method to the madness of the Left too. Importing unskilled labor that breeds at rates higher than the native citizens; importing young Islamist men aged 16-25...

But can’t let the public come to realize they are being marginalized.

"If he comes to London, President Trump will experience an open and diverse city that has always chosen unity over division and hope over fear."

"Open" but extremely closed-minded. "Unity" here means forced unity of beliefs--no toleration of other opinions and viewpoints allowed. And the "hope" he's looking for is the hope that Londoners don't realize they are in the middle of a violent crime wave and that "gun-free" London now has a higher homicide rate than NYC.

"He will also no doubt see that Londoners hold their liberal values of freedom of speech very dear," Khan said in a tweet.

What a joke. The UK is arguably the most oppressive against free speech of all first world countries.

I imagine those would be those Londoners whose speech the Mayor approves of. The other lot gets to rot in prison.

Trump is not mad. Those who hate him are. Certifiably!!!

Does Trump have a purpose behind most things he does? Yes.

IMO < Trump starts negotiation before the other side even knows what the topic is.

His manipulations on behalf of this nation are amazing.

Dream on. The mayor of London is a Muslim for cryin out loud. Brexit was good, but the much bigger threat to the UK is Muslim infiltration. If anything is being done about that, please let me know.

Unless you tell the truth about Islam, then you can go to prison.

How high up in the British government did the collusion in 2016 take place with the Democrats, trying to prevent Trump from winning the election?

Top British diplomat on Trump: There is a ‘method in his madness’

Trump is a " Strange attractor." He is the region of calm around which the chaos is swirling. He is the ordering force of chaos.
