Colin Kaepernicks lawyers will attempt to subpoena President Trump as part of the former quarterbacks collusion case against the NFL.
That report comes from sources to Yahoo! Sports Charles Robinson, who says the Mark Geragos-led legal team is expected to seek federal subpoenas in the coming weeks to compel testimonyfrom [President Donald] Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and other officials familiar with the presidents agenda on protesting NFL players.
The purpose of a Trump subpoena, would be to show that the president both improperly influenced owners in their decision to not sign Kaepernick. As Breitbart Sports reported weeks ago, the desire to involve Trump has been at the forefront of Geragos legal strategy for some time.
In an appearance on the podcast Straight Aim with Amy Dash, Kaepernicks lead attorney Mark Geragos said that his case hinges on the presidents influence over NFL leadership.

Geragos should stick to criminal law. He’s out of his element in civil litigation.
Crappernick needs to go to the CFL
And the NFL needs to go to the dump
this will be good. Lets see what cards he has in his hand, in a free country where everyone can give their opinion, including what a jerk he is.
Oh Dear God.
transparent publicity stunt.
No only will it get quashed but the lawyers will probably be sanctioned.
Geragos and Kaepernick...
The bottom of the barrel meets the bottom of the barrel.
There should be some kind of penalty for trying to serve the President a bogus subpoena for publicity.
This is not contingency work. Who is paying Geragos?
Now, if Trump were the President of the NFL...the Kaepernick guy would have a case. But how would you connect the dots of the NFL owners to Trump?
Here’s what Trump should do...make a statement that the Russians and Soros planned all of this Black Lives Matter business, and started the hype on kneeing. Yes, there is a conspiracy going on, but you yourself are the participant in the conspiracy.
Everything Kaep does in pursuing this ‘Collusion Case’ makes him more of a destructive force and potential distraction for any team. What coach would willingly invite this source of toxicity onto their team? Keep on digging your ditch, Colin.
I hope his lawyers are working pro bono, Crap must be broke by now.
Trump should answer every question “Sorry, I don’t recall”.
Turnabout and screw them.
Is that why mule-deer is holding off? ;-)
Someone should ask who’s paying the legal fees.
He just needs another chapter for his “tell all” book. He really has no choice. He needs the money. He was going to fall back on a career at McDonalds, but those darned kiosks killed that.
Remember, Kaepernick opted out of the final year of NFL contract with the 49ers to become a free agent.
If he had not done so, he would have been on the 49ers roster last season.
The reason he is not playing is totally of his own choosing
He opted out of his contract because the 49ers were going to cut him anyway. NFL contracts are not guaranteed. There’s no way in hell CK was going to be on the 49ers roster last year.
Or simply raid his attorney’s office (see Michael Cohen)
