Alan Dershowitz: Media is 'weaponizing a cliche' by saying Trump is 'above the law'.....

President Trump’s opponents say he believes he’s “above the law,” but famed constitutional lawyer Alan Dershowitz says are simply “weaponizing a cliche.”

“The claim that President Tump is above the law has become a cliche,” Dershowitz said. “What he and his legal team are asserting is that the law provides them certain protections and immunities. That should surprise no one who is familiar with the Constitution. The Constitution also provides immunities for members of Congress. … That doesn’t place them above the law. That is the law."

"I think it’s fair to say that those people who are arguing that he is above the law are weaponizing a cliche," Dershowitz said.

At the White House press briefing Monday, NBC reporter Peter Alexander asked Sarah Sanders, “Does the President believe that he is above the law?”

“Certainly not,” she said. “The president hasn't done anything wrong.”

Just trot out the saying that the Clinton teamed used:

“The president is not above the law but he’s not below it either.”

Why do you assume that anyone is falling for this? The vast Majority already decided that the Russia probe is a political witch hunt.

Another reason this is so ridiculous Khama the president can only pardon federal crimes, and he cannot be indicted for a federal crime. Not while he’s president.

The Constitution also provides immunities for members of Congress.

Was Harry Reid "above the law" when he accused Mitt Romney of not paying taxes from the floor of the Senate?

No, wait... the Constitution protects Congress from any statement made during debate within Congress.

Clinton thought he should get away with rape and sexual harassment because that POS really believed he was above the law.

And the so-called ‘journalists’ gave Clinton a pass - same with his witch. She got a pass too.

Anyone who defends those two is evil...

No president is above the law. A president can be impeached and removed from office for high crimes and misdemeanors, so there is a mechanism to remove a president’s powers (like the power to pardon).
