“The attack occurred near the main entrance of a large tented compound in the Afghan capital, where about 2,000 Muslim clerics had gathered.... “
And he only got 14? He’s a failure, no virgins for him!
Western donors?
“seven of the victims were clerics ... seeking ways to make peace with the Taliban with the strong support of the U.S. government and Western DONORS.
Donors—Hopefully that does not imply paying the Taliban not to attack.
Don’t gather for your enemies?
Long ago, the Brits figured out how hopeless Afghanistan was and is.
Ditto the Rooskies.
What are we doing there ?
It does seem like an appropriate target.
Up until 1/20/17, we were protecting the opium trade there—50% of the world’s opium is grown in A-stan.
Since then, we have been destroying the Taliban and their crops of opium.
It is time to declare victory and come home.
It is 17 years this October.
We move out, someone else moves in.
An abundance of rare earth elements and poppy fields is not a reason to continue a 17 year occupation.
I would say nuke it from orbit, but I’m not sure it would change that much.

How is it that I evidently understand the quran better than these "religious leaders"? It's a work steeped in murder, mayhem and religious slavery.
Who did they expect to come wandering in?
I say, Let 'em have it, and good luck with all that.
Let them.
They are not worth one more American life.
That's a feature, not a bug.
I'd love it if - after we withdrew - the Chicoms would drop boots into Afghanistan.
Regards,
Absolutely, positively could not wait in line to get into h*ll’s basement.
