At this point, it's really a function of how interested Trump is in pursuing justice. If it serves the MAGA objective, great. If not ie the criminals are more useful as a hammer to achieve political policy initiatives, then that's how he'll roll.
But for the coup plotters, they don't know which way Trump will go, so they're only possible chance (slim to none) is cast any future legal action not as a prosecution of justice but a persecution for political purposes.
Words sound similar, but it makes a huge difference how it plays out in the media and public square. They're all the same - they *must* make outlandish claims and observations, as if they are innocent in the entire matter.
