Almost three decades ago now, Donald Trump explained his life and worldview this way: "The show is Trump, and it is sold-out performances everywhere."
Those words, uttered in a 1990 interview with Playboy magazine, are truer today than they were 28 years ago. And they provide a unique insight into how Trump approaches being President on a day-in-and-day-out basis.

Trump's only concern at the moment is how to keep the show going. How can he avoid it getting stale -- as even the most popular things sometimes do? The answer is simple: Do more and more unpredictable things that draw people back in. Midseason surprises. Cliffhangers. Reversals of fortune.
Thursday had all of those things. And there are going to be lots more days like Thursday before the Trump Show runs its course.

Did he write this screed as an attack on Trump?
Or to tribute to Trump.
Either way - Enjoy the Trump Show!
Decades before Trump entered politics.
Jimmy Carter gave an interview to Playboy WHILE he was running for POTUS.
I thought - what CNN saying nice things about TRUMP ?? They are such fools.
Standing ovations abound across the country!
Trump’s only concern at the moment is how to keep the show going
Good thing Hillary doesn’t feel that way /s
I’m enjoying the Trump show immensely!
PT Barnum, Houdini and Ed Sullivan all rolled into one!.................
The butt-hurt is strong with this one....
CNN just can’t give it a rest. Nothing DJT does is ever going to get them to let up; forget actually applauding him.
Eff CNN
All anyone, left or right, has to do is read ‘Art of the Deal’. Whether one loathes or loves the man he clearly explains how he thinks, how he approaches things, how he sees the world. Seldom has any world leader really been so clear about their worldview, personality and modus operandi.
To take one comment from thirty years ago by anyone, and state that this is who they are now is pretty chancey.
After all, nobodys outlook on life could possibly change in thirty years. /s
Trump is a lot more down to earth and a realist than the press wants to admit.
Imagine for yourself if Trump had been a frequenter of homosexual bath houses years ago, and the women around him had said he had no interest in girls
Ill just bet the media would be all over it.
Its a real case study to watch what our press does with their freedom to report what they want.
yes, I seem to recall the line, “I’ve sinned in my heart, many times.”
Isn’t there a form Chris can fill out for Butt Hurt?
Plus, with the filled out form you can also get Butt salve for the butt hurt.
I think it’s free, but if it isn’t it’s $19.95

President Trump only needs to remain on the side of the citizens and the rule of law to remain popular.
Both parties have been preventing US from electing anyone who would enforce the laws and borders for 30 years.
People can now see who sides with illegal aliens and their employers more clearly now that someone has sided with the citizens and the rule of law.
Since Trump has been in the White House he has toned down his brash rhetoric. He is a much more calmer, sober minded and cautious individual.
Yes, his ballsy New York City attitude is still (thankfully) evident, it is obvious that the Office of the Presidency of the United States has had a genuinely positive effect on Donald Trump.
Do unexpected things for the novelty? Not bloody likely, everything he has done has been completely expected by those who elected him.
And Obama, prior to being a Senator, never held a job longer than 18 months.
A lot of substantive things are going on in DC, the US, the world. Trump’s not forcing anyone to go 24/7 on “The Trump Show” rather than covering issues, policies, and other other news Cizilla might consider more important. Even he took the time to write about “The Trump Show” rather than any of the dozen topics today that will impact millions of lives.
If we’re lucky, Trump will have made some major and long-lasting changes to the executive branch while they are distracted by “The Trump Show”.
