Hmmm. Three a.m. Probably no booze involved on the passengers part. And Uber says it doesn't allow firearms in it's vehicles. When did they start owing the vehicles? Note the driver was/has not been charged with a crime. Yet.

That’s why Uber prohibits riders and drivers from carrying firearms of any kind in a vehicle while using our app.”

Really? Prevents them how?

...Uber prohibits riders and drivers from carrying firearms of any kind...

Looks like he may have lost a really sucky job but saved his own life.

The facts in the article (including the car crashing) strongly point to a form of self defense. But we’ll see where the evidence leads them. It’s on them to prove it wasn’t self defense, and only one of ‘em is talking.

And if he has a good attorney, neither of them are talking.

There is a little tidbit in a 9 news article I haven't seen highlighted anywhere else:

"This is very preliminary, but it appears there was an Uber driver and his passenger got into a conflict inside his vehicle, shots were exchanged, shots were fired and the passenger it appears was shot," Denver Police spokesperson Sonny Jackson said.

Police: Uber driver fatally shot passenger on I-25

Uber prohibits riders and drivers from carrying firearms...

...which only goes to show (and I'll make this a new adage) that prohibition seldom means absence.

3:00 a.m. and they’re driving around picking up complete strangers and the driver is prohibited from carrying a gun to protect themselves? How do they get anyone to work for them?

This just proves once again, these companies coudn’t care less about the help’s safety. The only thing they’re concerned about is liability $$.

Your life is meaningless to these companies.

Uber, on its website, says guns are not allowed in its vehicles.

It isn't their car.

"Our goal is to ensure that everyone has a safe and reliable ride," it says. "That's why Uber prohibits riders and drivers from carrying firearms of any kind in a vehicle while using our app."

Looks like they don't prohibit jack.

Being the City and County of Denver, the city will try to find a way to hang the driver.

Interesting. I did not know Uber owned any vehicles...
