He added that the measure will ensure that children are matched in safe homes. Recommended

Of course they could also refrain from sending their children here.

If you knew the s#*+ and hell on Earth my parents went through to adopt me you’d laugh at a little thing like fingerprints.

"...Asked whether they were concerned that the practice would scare parents away from claiming their children..." It begs the question: What kind of parent would leave their child in the custody of the state because they didn't want to get fingerprinted?

And keep the child traffickers, who bought the child from its unfit parents, from selling that child into sex slavery. Obama ought to fry in Hell for what he did to innocent children by encouraging this hideous racket.

When I read a story like this I remember the grief both my grandmothers had to go thru to become US citizens.

In an effort to crack down on illegal immigration by minors,... Good gawd, look at that would you. NBC actually used the term "illegal immigration" instead of "undocumented immigration".

Also, GET THEIR DNA. And get the DNA of the child. Do quick paternity tests. Keep records!

I see a possible deterrent to sex trafficking in this. People claiming to be ‘parents’ may not be......................

I know people who had to take a 7 to 9 year trip through bureaucrat hell in order to get their green cards. We torture people who obey our immigration laws and reward those who break them.

We should give the kids back only when the parents are already on the plane waiting to take off for their home country.

One of my biggest question on these ‘children’ crossing the desert to come here???? Who lets their children do that? I think the answer for many was most of them where over the age of 18 and called children by teamvaljar.
Maybe their ‘children’ have been stolen or sold from the real parents for child labor and/or other horrible things?
