It is my impression that the makers of products for temporary stomach relief fought tooth and nail to prevent the spread of the wonderful news of a cure to the medical community as well as to the general public. Their efforts greatly impeded the implementation, because it meant that the multibilliondollar prescription drug business they had created was about to collapse.
Finally, the only way they have kept hold of a part of it is to get the FDA to allow these medicines to be sold over the counter without the requirements of a doctor's prescription.
Thus, those who are uninformed, or whose physician yet will not administer the cure, still keep them in the over-the-counter business, albeit at a greatly reduced level of market size and profitability.
I remember that very well. The Doctor was on 60 Minutes or another similar show explaining the cure he had discovered. The reporter interviewed several “leading” US Doctors about the treatment...they openly laughed at the idea.
