Another Internet sleuth (REX) put together some more pieces to Spygate over the weekend. The sleuth’s analysis shows that Obama’s Spygate scandal started much earlier than expected and Deep State leaks support this claim.
On April 13, 2017, the far left Guardian posted an article about Trump and Russia collusion that began by making a couple now key assertions,
1) British spies played a crucial role in the Trump – Russia conspiracy
2) Trump – Russia scandal began in at least 2015
3) The UK was involved
4) The UK and US worked together for the next six months

Britain’s spy agencies played a crucial role in alerting their counterparts in Washington to contacts between members of Donald Trump’s campaign team and Russian intelligence operatives, the Guardian has been told.
GCHQ first became aware in late 2015 of suspicious “interactions” between figures connected to Trump and known or suspected Russian agents, a source close to UK intelligence said. This intelligence was passed to the US as part of a routine exchange of information, they added.
Over the next six months, until summer 2016, a number of western agencies shared further information on contacts between Trump’s inner circle and Russians, sources said.
GCHQ is the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) is an intelligence and security organisation in the UK.

Donald Trump has been under Government Surveillance since he publicly questioned the Muslims birthplace.
Knowing how Leftists are, I would suspect that the Obama Administration would have begun abusing their Intelligence surveillance powers, just as soon as they got their feet on the ground, and made sure the coast was clear.
I will not be surprised if it turns out that they had routinely used it to dig up dirt to blackmail US legislators (Iran Deal) and judges (Obamacare), and for House, Senate and Governors races from 2010 onward.
Hillary Clinton came in with the first Obama Administration, already having a long history of abusing Presidential powers this way (FBI files scandal). So they had experienced people on board who knew how pick the locks and cover their trails from the very start.

Trump was pushing the Birth Certificate issue in early 2011. I agree that that would have probably kicked their attack dogs into action. He also said he was thinking about running for President then as well. I assume that they were abusing all the powers of their office as hard as they could, all along. So they probably started illegally spying on Trump in 2011, if not sooner (although that may never be proven).
That timeframe would have given them lots of time to plant leads and gradually sic allied Nations Intelligence Services on their political enemy as well.
