The NAACP criticized the NFL on Wednesday for its decision to ban players from kneeling during the national anthem.
Protest is an American tradition; by protesting we work to hold our country accountable to its highest ideals, the NAACP said in a statement. Instead of coming together to address an issue disproportionately plaguing the African-American, the NFL owners have chosen to bury their heads and silence players.
The association also pointed to the issue of police brutality toward black men

Local Miami Media is amplifying the NAALCP. The media is upset there hasn't been a public statement by Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross.

by protesting we work to hold our country accountable to its highest ideals My highest ideal would be to kick every lazy bastard off welfare regardless of color. How does that grab the NAACP?

Notice how the NAACP is defending wealthy, celebrity blacks. Meanwhile working poor blacks who get shot daily in cities run by Democrats are ignored.

Part of me wishes the silliness would just continue, so that the NFL can self-immolate. But I can’t stand to see the anthem disrespected by these thugs. Regardless, the National Felons League is dead to me as long as SJW Goodell is in charge.

Hey NAACP. how about starting with those other “American Traditions” like getting a job, getting married before you breed, and stopping killing yourselves and others? You a$$holes wouldn’t know an “ideal” if it bit you on that part of you on which you sit all day complaining that your welfare checks aren’t big enough.

NFL players can protest by staying in the locker room for the national anthem. Sounds fair to me.

What more proof is needed to vilify the NAACP? They are a racist group of shakedown artists that hate the US.

Racist whining idiots. The players can protest all they want when they are not at work. These anti-American losers can play all they want...who wants to watch them???

The communist naacp can GTH ! We support equal rights not racist preferences. And this is USA. Anyone who tries to make our flag racist is an enemy of this country and everything we fought so hard for. It appears its time to investigate naacp

It's not protest, its appropriating a 100 year old American cultural tradition for their own purposes.

No statement from the NAACP when black conservatives are threatened or silenced???

Now players can actually find something useful to do about these problems instead of doing more of something useless.

There is nothing the NFL owners can do about YOUR problem(s). Thus, there is nothing the NFL games can do about YOUR problem(s).
Take your issue(s) to a venue relevant to the issue(s). A football game is NOT it!
The rest of us don't want to be subjected to your issue(s) during OUR personal time -- such as watching a football game.
Most of those taking a knee could not even explain what issue is disproportionately plaguing the African-American. The NFL has no power in stopping the supposed police brutality toward black men. Maybe if they committed fewer crimes, they would have fewer problems with police. ??? But what does perceived police brutality have to do with the playing of the National Anthem at a football game anyway?

As long as they stay there for the rest of the game, I’m good too.
