Does prohyllaxis accelerate the development of drug resistance? Anyone know?

Yes. If the effective level isn't maintained in one's system through lack of near perfect adherence, it gives HIV an opening to infect, and become resistant, just as those already infected.

And given the patterns of behavior, it appears likely that we will see more and more drug resistantest strains of HIV over time, same with antibiotic resistant STDS.
