Capitol Police Accidentally Gave Evidence To House Hacking Suspect’s Defense Attorney

The Capitol Police turned over a trove of evidence in the alleged Imran Awan House cyberbreach and theft case to the defense attorneys when they were supposed to deliver it to prosecutors instead, according to court documents and a source.

And hours after The Daily Caller News Foundation asked prosecutors about the disclosure, Awan’s lawyer said he had learned of the forthcoming story from a source on Capitol Hill. TheDCNF had not told anyone other than prosecutors about it.

“The cop came to [Awan’s defense attorney] Chris Gowen’s office with a stack of papers … Then he came back and said, ‘I thought you guys were the other party.’ He was very, very angry. But Gowen made copies,” the source, who’s familiar with The Awans, told TheDCNF.

When will the twisted tangle of corrupt dry Deep State twigs begin burning into a raging fire?

Having a very hard time waiting for justice around here.

From the article:

The director of investigations for conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, Chris Farrell, said the disclosures are “disgraceful and amateurish. What were the consequences for this misconduct? Who was disciplined or fired?”

Capitol Police’s role appears to be “to bury, constrain and minimize the Awan case” and points to the need for “a legitimate, full investigation by a competent law enforcement agency,” he continued.

______________

"a competent law enforcement agency" --- Where is that?

Seems like it happened in the shoebomber case too...might be wrong but there was some kind of idiocy in the Reid case.

Imran Awan’s Lawyer Is Long-time Clinton Associate, Daily Caller ^ | 11:44 AM 07/26/2017 | MARK TAPSCOTT

Chris Gowen, Imran Awan’s lawyer, is a long-time campaigner for former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a member of an attorney team that brought a fraudulent lawsuit against energy giant Chevron. Pakistani-born Awan was arrested late Monday at Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia before he could board a flight to Qatar and then Pakistan on bank fraud charges. Awan, his younger brothers, Abid and Jamal, his wife, Hina Alvi, and Rao Abbas, his best friend, have been subjects of a federal criminal investigation led by the U.S. Capitol Police and including the FBI since...

Actually not a big deal unless the prosecutor intend to lie or hide evidence.

Something simular happened to me... Cops were trying to frame my son. And then hide evidence. But the detective left the entire case file at my house. A bunch of stuff that proved he didn’t do it s in there. The prosecutors tried to hide it. The same prosecutor had been busted several times trying to hide evidence. I got lucky and the cop screwed up.

Some are. Some are not. I have a former one that works next to me. Not the sharpest tool in the tool shed.

Capitol Police is a springboard into other law enforcement agencies. Except for the steady overtime, few stay there for a lengthy period of time. It's a revolving door.

The Capitol Police are NOT IDIOTS, they’re just taking orders from the Deep State. They saw what happened to wise-asses, like Seth Rich.

Obviously you don’t ‘accidentally’ hand over evidence to the wrong side in a case.

It will never end as long as no one is ever punished for their “mistakes.” BTW, why is it that Republicans commit “crimes” but democrats make “mistakes?”

Much the same reason headlines use the term "gunman," but you will never see them use "bombman," "knifeman" or "poisonman." Control the language, control the listener.

Well they certainly do control the language. What I fear the most is that President Trump will drain the swamp, but as soon as he is gone it will fill right back up again.

I used to have faith that Republicans were honest and patriotic. I have lost that faith watching McConnell, Gowdy, Ryan, and especially Sessions, et. al. cover and support these investigations against the people’s choice.
