Planned Parenthood Group Moves to Use Trump’s NLRB to Bust Union
Pay Day Report ^ | 05/24/2018 | Mike Elk

Recently, a group of 153 Planned Parenthood support staff at 14 clinics in Colorado has attempted to unionize with SEIU. Clinic workers say they put up with long work weeks for low pay with starting wages at a mere $12 an hour.

“Its low compensation for the intense and emotional work we are doing,” says Dominique Silverman, who regularly faces protesters on her way into work.

Organized labor has stood in solidarity with Planned Parenthood in their fight to block federal cuts to their funding. Groups like the American Federation of Teachers, the National Education Association, and SEIU have all protested cuts to Planned Parenthood’s budget.

However, when workers attempted to organize last fall, PPRM forced clinic workers to attend anti-union meetings.

Michael Moore went full-auto when his employees tried to unionize.

...low pay with starting wages at a mere $12 an hour.

This is the kind of journalistic bullcrap we see these days. The word above is used to evoke some kind of emotional response to the article. That's not was good journalism does. Good journalism doesn't have an agenda: it reports the facts on both sides of the argument in a non-emotional manner and let's the reader form an opinion.

As far as I know, the Emancipation Proclamation means that they don't have to work for this employer if they are unhappy with the wage. Unions are made for the average. If you are a better-than-average worker, you should avoid them. If you are a below-average worker, you will favor them. What these people are really telling me is that the lack the skills to find a better paying job. Whose fault is that?

Now wait a minute. Weren't they telling us not long ago, that they were providing life saving medial services at Planned Parenthood?

Why should this entail intense and emotional work?

Most people who work in the medical field are hard working people dedicated to their patient's well being.

Hmm, I wonder what she could have left out...

Every single group has helped destroy this nation. The common denominator is the control of people, especially children even controlling who lives. There is absolutely no reason for anyone in government to unionize.I wonder if the guards of Auschwitz ever thought of unionizing. Planned Murderhood needs to self abort.

Protest at Colorado PP are mostly at the main administration building. The smaller clinics are usually not protested. The protest at the main building are multi-person with pictures.

The NLRB needs to be dissolved. It’s always been crooked and favors the unions in disputes.
