Excellent article.

It appears that Halper was the source of false accusations against Flynn. He was probably instructed to do that by the Obama administration and FBI who were out to get Flynn.

Halper also had very close relationships with NYT, WSJ and Washington Post reporters and fed them false information that they used in their stories.

Somebody had to give him the names Carter Page, George Papadpoulos and Sam Clovis so Halper could make ‘contact’... I suspect every nation has a ‘Halper’ plant, just in case.

Now we are learning that our supposedly skilled intelligence agencies think that they can find a Russian spy by looking for people with Russian names at a public seminar on intelligence agencies. That's laughable.

I presume they also think the best place to look for drug traffickers is at a symposium with a title like "Tackling Drug Dependency in Minnesota" attended by a bunch of academics. I can see the DEA and FBI guys staking out the coffee and pastries, waiting to see if MS-13 would decide to send a representative.

Our tax dollars at work.

Is it true that nobody knows where this Halper is, or if he’s alive?

"Halper’s claim in December 2016 that Russians infiltrated CIS has also been called 'absurd' by Christopher Andrew, the official historian for MI5 and head of CIS, the Financial Times reported."

Andrew published excerpts from the Mitrokhin Archive exposing Soviet infiltration of the West.

It is easy to see why our own intelligence community’s intelligence product has been so poor for so long (they did not even know Putin was going to invade Crimea), with people like Halper a long time “source” for that intelligence, around the world.

So far what “intelligence” Halper seems to have excelled at is surmises that he parlays into innuendo. The rest of the time he seems to have puffed himself up with lots of name dropping of officials he’s already conned into believing he knows more than he does. It’s earned him a strong network of former government officials that are now trying to save him so they can save themselves.

bump

A Russian academic who worked at Cambridge with the informant, Stefan Halper, said he made “false allegations” about her interactions with former national security adviser Michael Flynn at an event the Cambridge Intelligence Seminar (CIS) hosted in February 2014.

The FBI informant who made contact with members of the Trump campaign has made allegations of Russian spy infiltration at the University of Cambridge

A little bald bird says those were not spies but merely informants trying to protect Cambridge.

I’ve always heard Cambridge was a hotbed of espionage.
