I hope the article is right. Unfortunately, there are a lot of mindless bots driven by hate in America today.
Except for that aging thing, I’m looking forward to November!
Hate doesn't work well in jokes or the news or as a campaign plank. Once again the media et al cannot see clearly thru their hate filled blinders that shape every single so called report so obviously people turn them off and tune them out, they again hurt their own cause.
But the Blues insist on cloaking their economic opportunism in moral preening.
The left calls this “Doing well by doing good.”
It is very easy to rationalize anything as “doing good” when it benefits you, personally.
All the most evil men in recent history claimed they were “doing good” Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Poi, etc.

People always their pocketbooks.
What Democrats are telling them is ignore the good news and hate Trump because well... he rubs them the wrong way.
The rabid few have a megaphone but the rest of us have tuned them out.
That’s why the Democratic Party is in trouble. Its not talking to Middle America and its still angry for being rejected.
And it won’t learn a thing come November should it be trounced again at the polls.
Even better is that the hard left is turning out in the primaries and getting REAL lefties in to the generals.
Greenfield is right on, as usual.
Thanks for posting.
BINGO!
In 16, the media made the unwise decision to ignore everything except the big blue urban and suburban bubble.
Economics rule here too - that's where the donor money is. And it also explains a sudden passion for Democracy and abolishing the Electoral College. Why let the unwashed and unbelieving vote at all? The problem is, of course, that we sort of insist on it and don't really want our entire lives run by self-appointed Democrat experts.
That's another aspect of the same phenomenon. The Democrats have, as they have turned Left, turned insufferably totalitarian, and when you do that it's impossible to disguise yourself as harmless toward people who might otherwise not really care much if you're in office. Bill Clinton was one such - a "populist" more because he didn't threaten anyone than because of his policies, which did. 0bama pretended to be one in '08 but the mask fell off very shortly in the form of 0bamacare, and his administration took on a rather malevolent triumphalism that persists in the party today, and is one reason for the outrage that the Deplorables could have ousted them. They're better people, they have a right to rule. Not so fast.
One needn't be a John Kerry toting around a dead duck or two to appeal to a demographic of which one is not a member. A billionaire real estate developer from New York City getting the working class vote proved that. One won't get it by threatening them. One especially won't get it through a 24/7 torrent of disdain, contempt, and condescension that comes to them through their television sets from people who, in their thousand-dollar suits and hairstyles, are indistinguishable from the urban elite clutching the dead ducks. The media aren't Us anymore and are proud of it, convinced that their influence is waning because we aren't smart enough, not because they aren't. That would be a hard lesson to learn if any of them were troubling to learn it.
Hence the politics of hatred. They don't hate Trump, they hate us.
Thanks for the ping Lou. Hope Dan is right.
“If you threaten impeachment, CNN will give you 5 minutes. If you want to talk about the economy, you get 5 seconds.”
Mr. Greenfield speaks the truth.
