President Donald Trump wrote a letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un saying that their planned summit next month in Singapore was cancelled.
The meeting, which would have marked the first face-to-face encounter between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader, was set for June 12 in the southeastern Asian island city state.
"Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting," Trump wrote in the letter, which was released Thursday morning.

For anyone that follows QAnon closely, this “cancellation” shouldn’t be a surprise.
The “theory” (conspiracy or otherwise) is that the summit already took place months ago, and that this was just going to be a staged event.

Well this is a better tactic than, “Please, please, please make a deal with us. We’ll send you gazillions of unmarked bills on secret flights and you don’t have to release ANY of our hostages.”

That’s just silly. Trump is in the news every single day. He never went anywhere that would put him in proximity to NK for a hidden summit. Also, do you seriously think Little Rocket Man would hide such a summit? He wants that glory because it would make him seem even more powerful to his people. Lastly, DC denizens leak like a sieve. Do you seriously think such a summit would not have leaked? Get real, please.

EXACTLY! Read the letter and it’s obvious that Trump called the shots, cancelled the meeting and look who came out on top......Trump! NK just go more BAD publicity when spewing bad rhetoric, thereby giving TRUMP the upper edge AGAIN! More winning.
I expect NK will come back to the table in due time.
It’s altogether possible that this was as much to do a number on the Drive-by Media as it was to jerk a little slack out of Mr. Kim. Let the media go nuts and soil their skivvies over this, as we know they will, and THEN set up another meeting with Kim.

Um the recent “deal” with China includes ZERO tariffs. So it really wasn’t a deal.
John Kerry or Obama or even Bush, Clinton etc would never pull this off. Trump has the confidence and full understanding of what’s going on in China and with Kim.
