There’s a county proposal on our upcoming ballot for a flooding tax added to property taxes to help control flooding on the Truckee River. The whole county would be subject to the tax even though a tiny portion would be effected by river flooding. The areas that have a flooding issue from a different source are NOT addressed in the language of the proposal. Uh, NO!

ALSO- Millions were just spent on ‘re-routing the Truckee to prevent flooding!!! ‘Re-Alignment’ was supposed to fix all of this.

I live about 50 miles from Reno, in an area that is truly desert.

It rained on Monday afternoon between 4:30 & 4:50 & dumped about 3/4 of an inch on my ranch. I had standing water on my level gravel driveway & there were large puddles in the ditches. Haven’t seen rain like that in over 20 years.
