FBI Agents Want Congress To Issue Them Subpoenas So They Can Reveal The Bureau’s Dirt
Daily Caller ^ | 5/22.2018 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 05/22/2018 9:57:38 PM PDT by ding_dong_daddy_from_dumas

TheDC independently confirmed the veracity of the consultant’s position and access, and reviewed detailed transcripts of his Q&A with the special agent, who requested the arrangement due to internal dragnets and fear of vicious retribution.

These agents prefer to be subpoenaed to becoming an official government whistleblower, since they fear political and professional backlash, the former Trump administration official explained to TheDC.

The subpoena is preferred, he said, “because when you are subpoenaed, Congress then pays…for your legal counsel and the subpoena protects [the agent] from any organizational retaliation…. they are on their own as whistleblowers, they get no legal protection and there will be organizational retaliation against them.”

DiGenova — who along with his wife, Victoria Toensing, has represented government whistleblowers in the past — agreed, telling TheDC, “It’s an intelligent approach to the situation given the vindictive nature of the bureau under Comey and McCabe. I have no idea how to read Chris Wray, who is not a leader and who has disappeared from the public eye during this entire crisis. You know, he may be cleaning house but if he’s doing so, he’s doing it very quietly.”

Um, I will presume Joe DiGenova is a bit more knowledgable and probably a lot smarter than you, so I will go with what Joe says. Besides, I’ve known a couple of FBI agents in my 72 years on this blue orb and never met a dishonorable FBI agent. Albeit I never met comey or Stroezk or Page or McCabse, or Mule ear, or any of the seventh floor criminals.

I will give you this though: honorable men and women should have come forward when Gen Flynn was railroaded; McCabe had someone change the contents of 302s to suit an indictment.

I guess no one wants to be the first to stick their neck out, in case the rest chicken out, and leave them out to dry. Government officials have lived in oppressive fear of politically motivated firings and prosecutions for years, under the Obama regime. The survivors are naturally wary.

Once it is clear that the oppressors no longer retain the power strike back (like having Mueller and Rosenstein, the media, and the prospect of re-taking Congress/impeaching Trump), we will probably see a bunch of people pile on, to kick them while they are down.

It also makes sense to keep witnesses safe from retribution or pressure, until you are actually prosecuting the wrongdoers. No need to burn those good FBI agents prematurely. When the time to strike comes, that is the time to unveil them.

If they are not sufficiently honorable to come forward and TESTIFY on their own about these crimes...they are guilty of crimes themselves.

No, there are some decent people in the FBI who can help us in the war against the deep state, and I don't want to make it easy for the deep state criminals to get rid or them. Bravery by itself does not win wars. At the battle of Fredericksburg thousands of brave troops charged against Lee's position, again and again, but were slaughtered. And their commander Burnside was very proud. The truth is their lives were wasted. A saner commander would have had more respect for those brave troops, and his army would be much stronger had he not sacrificed them.

Easy for you to say. How many people would be willing to suffer being wiped out financially causing great harm to your family in the name of patriotism?

You might want to read up on our founding fathers, the revolution, etc.

These agents aren’t our Founding Fathers. The analogy is weak.

When it comes to guts, honor and dedication, they certainly are not.☺ The analogy fits quite well.☺

Btw, ya think only the founding fathers were the only one's who've put their butts on the line in without financial incentives and protections?

Bill Binney was drummed out of the NSA for just trying to do the right thing. Now he is gone, and Michael Hayden and his crooks took over. Now Joe DiGenova is suggesting a smarter way for decent people at the FBI to tell the truth. Trump knows that it will take brains to take down the deep state. Think about that.

LOL. I have forgotten more than you know about the subject.

These agents have put their butts on the line to defend this Republic and the Constitution. They have taken an oath to do so, the same one I have taken several times. They have come forth to testify if they receive subpoenas so their careers and financial holdings are protected. If the FBI can grant Mills, Combetta, Pagliano, et. al., immunity, then it is not asking too much for Congress to protect these patriots.

Your phony moralizing is tedious and disgusting. And your analogy is weak. These agents are patriots who are serving their country putting their lives at risk. They deserve whatever protections we can provide.

As I keep saying, courage is admirable, but to win a war you also need brains. As Patton said, No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. You won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country. I want FBI agents who expose corruption to stay in the bureau, not to be victims of deep state retaliation.

You commented the FBI personnel are not the founding fathers. Obviously they're not. It was an analogy. And I didn't know you're a history expert. That's very commendable.

But I noted you clearly evaded the question. Lets try again.

>>Do ya think the founding fathers were the only one's who've put their butts on the line without financial incentives and protections?<<

Would you like me to start naming Americans, Americans who were not part of the Founders, who gave it all without incentives and built-in protections? Let me know, I'll me more than happy to accommodate you.

And btw, I did state early in the thread, if this is the only way to get them to talk, so be it. Getting the subpoenas/guarantees out, shouldn't take long at all.

Unfortunately, people like our founding fathers do not exist today.

And here is why....

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the governance of any other."

A deep concept. Today too many Americans believe the "pursuit of happiness" means dedication to debauchery. Hence Roe v Wade.

“These agents have put their butts on the line to defend this Republic and the Constitution.”

No, that would be the people in the military. Unionized government civilian employees are NOT military. It’s the equivalent of stolen valor when they try to compare themselves to the true heroes who put their butts on the line for the Republic and the Constitution - the men and women of the US Armed Forces.

As far as risks, there are 76 listed deaths of fbi agents in the line of duty since 1908 according to the source below. 34 were by gunfire. Compare that to the risk of those who serve in the military (see link below). Over 8,000 military personnel have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001.

I guess a patriot who stands up and speaks the truth without being paid or protected is just old fashion and outdated.

I'm thinking that the "protects from professional retaliation" is the bigger issue for most. Look at what they're doing to Presidents. Imagine what they would do to cubicle staff.

I served 8 years in the military as a naval officer, including one year in Vietnam during the Tet offensive and another 8 months off the coast on an LPH.

I spent 28 years as a foreign service officer including 22 years abroad. I served in Iran during the fall of the Shah and the rise of Khomeini, which including the overrunning of our embassy the first time in Tehran on February 14, 1979. I spent 5 years in Riyadh including during the Gulf War.

The idea that civilian employees of the USG don't risk their lives in the service of this country is ridiculous. The CIA and State Department have walls with the names of those who have lost their lives in the service of this country. FBI personnel have lost their lives as well as other law enforcement agencies.

You don't have to diminish the service and sacrifice of federal civilian employees to burnish those in the military. I have seen and experienced it from both perspectives. I have personal colleagues, military and civilian, who have lost their lives in the service of this country. They are equally heroic.

I'm thinking the big issue for most Americans is to save our country from the entrenched disciples of deceit in criminal deep state. Things like this can destroy a country ya know, and they were well on their way to doing just exactly that, prior to the Trump era.

I would guess if a few came forward with crippling evidence which effectively derailed criminal deep state, but would possibly jeopardize their careers, they'd be seen as true heroes and they'd likely be offered other jobs, be taken care of, book deals, movies etc., who knows. Btw Trump don't forget those who back him and I'm very confident Trump would not turn his back on them.

Let ask you, if you had no protections or guarantees and you were sitting on evidence that would cripple criminal deep state, blow it wide open, but doing so would jeopardize your job if ya came forward, would you remain quite?

FWIW, I see this as much more important than a few losing their jobs.

And before ya answer remember, even with subpoenas/protections in place, they could still attempt to kill a whistle blower regardless of protections/guarantees.

In any event, as I mention early, if subpoenas are the only way to get them to talk, so be it. Getting the subpoenas/guarantees out, shouldn't take long at all.
