Soy formula, xenoestrogens, plastic endocrine disruptors, vegan diet, sugar and rancid fried vegetable oils all mess up hormones and neurotransmitters. Result is biological confusion abetted by dysfunctional social messages.

5% is probably close for high school and young college ages. The propaganda to get them to be promiscuous and “experiment” is intense. By the time they get to the real world, I suspect the percentage is way down.
