IG is toothless and easily ignored.

I read that President Trump had a sit down with Sessions and Rosenstein this afternoon. I wonder who else was present and what was said. It must have been HOT inside that room.
The IG does not have the power to indict anyone, but is tasked with keeping US Attorney Huber informed of possible criminal acts. Huber may well be holding Grand Jury proceedings and ready to announce indictments, for all we know.
My understanding is that the IG cannot issue indictments. He can just refer illegalities to the DOJ and they take it from there.
