Bingo! We have a winner. That’s exactly what’s going on, and why Reuters is wiling to release such data. The tactic has switched from attempting to demoralize the Republican voters (which backfired in 2016) to attempting to rally Democrat voters and make Republican voters feel complacent.
Your advice is sound: trust no polls. They are all meant to manipulate in some fashion.
