-- have not mastered listening and typing at the same time. How you do dat ? --

Combination of fast typing, reasonable understanding of the speaker's point (usually - not always), and lots of practice. I did that for a couple years just following the Senate.

It's bigger than that. His actions are affecting world-wide politics. Our government has been converted into a globalists-first institution, much as EU countries have come under the thumb of Brussels and the big dog Merkel.

IMO Trump is more of a reflection/product of the changing political climate worldwide favoring populism and decrying the ruling elites who ignore the will of the people. Europe has been seething long before Trump came on the scene. The rise of the right has been happening throughout Europe mainly in opposition to mass immigration. Brexit was one example. The EU is in a state of crisis. Merkel had to form another coalition government as the AfD became the third largest party. Other examples abound in Austria, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Finland, Holland, etc. I expect major changes in the upcoming Swedish election.

PS. Bernie was also a reflection of a similar revolution on the left. The Dems are moving further to the Left as they embrace openly Socialism and Communism.

In my defense, the first caffeine of the day has barely reached my lips when MTP airs here out west.

Keep it up.

Gingrich had it until he went wobbly on illegal immigration. After that he was toast.

I personally like MR. Newt. And wish that he did not do the Hillary meet. However let us not throw stones at MR. Newt when we all Know The Donald did similar - support abortions, gave monies to the Hillary, etc.

Both Mr. Newt and The Donald have and are serving this country well.

The Santa Fe High School Shooting in Texas Was the 22nd School Shooting This Year

Was it? Or was it the Leftists saying that?

I heard they count suicides, gansta gun battles with the PO-lice that wander into school zones, etc...

I can only thing of 3-4 this year.

I have only watched 1 Fox News Sunday in 5 years or so. Watched 1 last year and it only confirmed that Wallace is intolerable to me.

I simply cannot understand the pompous assery that is (was) regularly presented by those ‘News’ programs.

It is truly a challenge these days to get genuine reporting of current events and politics. I work at it.

-- WHAT is `aEUR"'? --

My cut and paste method doesn't handle extended characters -- or doesn't render them correctly. In that section, the character is probably an emdash, substitute a hyphen and it'll "look right." I get the same problem with smart quotes. I try to fix all of them before hitting "post," but miss quite a few.

...give our thread a weekly update on what you guys uncover over on the Q threads...

That would be MOST informative!

I won't lie and say I am a Q believer--I have my doubts---but I'm not closed minded on the idea, either. It would be a wondrous thing if true!

SAid it before and will say it again. Newt is and has alwasy been 80/20. Most of the time he’s great, a world class conservative. But that 20% that he’s not,run and hide.

Ok, Now this comment is indeed very telling.

MR. Newt 80% ok, but I cannot go for him because 20% of the time is off the plantation.

So none of us should EVER vote for a Republican who is not 100% ??

The mental disconnect here regarding any election and that we should take the Good instead of the perfect???

Some, many people on this site have been smoking too much wacky tabacky

I have conservative friends who were followers of Beck, and refused to vote for Trump....now they are coming around. I never liked Beck, and think this is all to ride Trumps coattails...

The first OIG/DOJ report is just on the Hillary exoneration. It doesn;t approach the frameup of Trump. At least that is how it's been portrayed to those paying closer attention (e.g., Sara Carter).

True enough. But there is a parallel operation headed by Huber that could produce some referrals for indictments. And we don't know if Horowitz was given some additional instructions to expand the scope of his inquiry. He could be producing multiple reports.

Trump banging on the frameup angle is battlefield prep. The press is calling him delusional on that front.

The MSM is echoing the Brennan/Comey/Clapper meme contained in the NYT stories. The idea that it was not directed against Trump and was just for his protection is laughable. If that were the case, they should have warned him from the very outset. Instead they kept the "counterintelligence" investigation a secret and kept monitoring the Trump transition team and his early days as President.

The appointment of a Special Counsel is supposed to be linked to a criminal activity, not a counterintelligence investigation. Grassley is demanding that Rosenstein provide him the basis for the investigation along with the unredacted scope of the inquiry. Judge Ellis was given an unredacted copy, including the August 2nd amendment, so why can't the Legislative Branch see it?

Trump is moving closer to ordering DOJ and the FBI to provide the documents requested by Congress. Warner's reaction is telling saying that Congress shouldn't see all those documents. Talk about living in Bizarro world.

Wouldn't the IG, if he is such a stand up man, be just as disgusted as we are with the lawlessness of the FBI and the DOJ and want them cleaned up.

It is an unconscious bias/restraint that wishes to preserve the institution for the long-term. They don't want to destroy the institutions in order to save them. They are the products of those institutions. The reality is that no institution can investigate themselves objectively.

Horowitz is working on multiple reports. The one focused on Mccabe only, or that part of his work, is out. The next one is focused on Hillary exoneration, and could contain some real bombshells including Lynch's role, as well as underlings.

If there are criminal actions inthere, Huber is ready to go. Very smart move to pair a lead prosecutor with OIG. Huber will have or does have a team, just like Mueller does.

The stuff Trump is bringing up this morning is on FISA abuse and framing Trump with falsehood. That is not part of the exonerate Hillary angle. Horowitz picked that FISA-abuse angle (which covers much more than FISA abuse) a few months ago. There is a press release on that.

Mystery surrounds Sessions appointee to FBI investigation

Attorney General Jeff Sessions quietly tapped Huber — apparently last fall — to work in tandem with the Justice Department’s inspector general to determine whether conservative allegations of abuse at the FBI and the Justice Department merit investigation.

White House officials see Huber as a second special counsel in everything but name because he has the authority to prosecute, a task the inspector general has to refer to a U.S. attorney.

It would be interesting if all these school shootings destroyed the public school system, ie scared parents enough to look at alternatives...just a wild thought that went thru my head...
