Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley is asking the Justice Department for a document that lays out the full scope of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
In a letter sent to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on May 18, Grassley, an Iowa Republican, noted Mueller’s team recently provided a federal judge in Virginia with an unredacted copy of the memo, which Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein wrote on Aug. 2, 2017.
The special counsel’s office provided the memo to Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman indicted for bank and tax fraud related to his work in Ukraine. Congress is also entitled to see the document, Grassley said.

The more interesting line of investigation is how the press deals with this “factual event.” The letter is known, it is public. How is this fact and the particular questions presented to the public?
Yeah it’s in there records right alongside the memo where they described which shooter is on the grassy knoll, and the serial number of his rifle. Does this dumb ass think they actually write this stuff down?
He should request it from Judge Ellis, who got it yesterday.

Kabuki Theater. Trump could release authorizing document at any time. Yet he doesn’t. Why not? Trust the plan.
The Republicans need to skip the requests and go directly to subpoenas; give them one week to comply and then file articles of impeachment.
Being nice just doesn’t work, especially with people who know they are going to prison when the documents are finally turned over.
Delay in releasing it, so they can gin one up...
