More than 40 years ago, as a freshman in college I witnessed the suicide of a college student upset over a bad grade on a biochemistry exam. The story was that he concluded he would then never get into med school. He goes to the top of a 14 story dorm and jumps off at the most crowded time of day for the area below. He brushed a coed as he landed, and while I didn’t see the leap, I heard the impact and saw the aftermath. It had a big effect on those of us who witnessed it, and I thought it was unbelievably reckless for the guy to do that at that time and location - the probability he would have hit another student walking below was very high.
I tried to look up the Gotham Hotel on line, and the images of what appears to be the hotel suggest it is pretty tall. The velocity of someone jumping from those heights would easily kill a person down below. And the child - don’t get me started. This is just sick.

When I was 17 I thought that Heffner was the coolest guy alive.but for some time now I've recognized him for what he always was,an utterly amoral pig.And it shouldn't surprise anyone that those who associated themselves with him were probably pigs themselves.
