So pre emption laws in illannoy and commierado mean nothing? Judge should throw the ban out tomorrow and make the council pukes personally pay legal fees.

Goodl uck with that- the Supreme Court just refused to hear a lawsuit where california is regulating gun shops out of business by making it impossible for them to do business- The supreme court evidently feels that a state has the right to regulate guns out of existence

Colorado has also adopted several preemption statutes related to firearms. Colorado Revised Statutes § 29-11.7-103 provides:

A local government may not enact an ordinance, regulation, or other law that prohibits the sale, purchase, or possession of a firearm that a person may lawfully sell, purchase, or possess under state or federal law. Any such ordinance, regulation, or other law enacted by a local government prior to March 18, 2003, is void and unenforceable.

Seems like a no-brainer for a judge to toss out Boulder's law, but I guess it depends if they get an impartial one who follows the law, or a progressive activist one.

WOuldn’t it be easier and more prudent to take a different approach? One outside the box? maybe like a Citizens Initiative:

All public employee’s, public servants and officer’s of the court, shall be prohibited from having any one in their employ or employed on their behalf to be in possession of any type of firearm or ammunition within 1000 yards. All Public employee’s, public servants, and Officer’s of the Court shall be prohibited from using, owning or possessing any type of firearm or ammunition.

Any violation shall be a Felony, all persons arrested or charged under this law shall be remanded without bail, shall upon conviction be sentenced to a Mandatory 20 years in Prison and 100% Civil Asset Forfeiture.

PUT THEM ON DEFENSE!
