Four men accused of participating in a chaotic anti-capitalism march during President Trumps inauguration went on trial Wednesday, facing possible decades behind bars for their alleged role in a window-smashing spree that ended in a mass arrest.
The men were arrested alongside about 230 other people on January 20, 2017, several blocks north of Trumps inaugural parade route, after police cornered largely black-clad participants, journalists, and legal observers on a downtown street corner.
Three of the defendants allegedly took a direct role in vandalism, and another allegedly knew of plans for mayhem. Defense attorneys claimed mistaken identity and collective punishment during opening arguments, and said police used unnecessary violence.

Waterboard them. Hahahahaha
Michael Basillas on May Day.
Unnecessary violence—hah! I suppose breaking those windows were necessary, however.
Glad to hear this. Thanks!
“Defense attorneys claimed mistaken identity...”
Well, when you all dress and black and wear masks or bandanas across your faces, it’s hard to distinguish one window-smasher from another!
No one every said our Judicial System was PERFECT - I mean, look at the sh#t The Clinton Crime Family have gotten away with through the years!

Vandals should be shot on sight.
Who is going to pay the driver of the burned out limo? he is out of business.
The court and location of the trial is painfully missing or hidden in the report as well and the name and the record of the presiding judge.
Transparency?
Full disclosure? News?
Whazzat?
It’s spelled a bit differently, but isn’t a Bacillus some kind of worm, or vermin or corruption?
While I do agree they deserve some time in prison, ‘decades’ is a bit much, isn’t it?
I recall the violent rioters’ defenders excusing their vandalism of “insured businesses”.
That would be the bank, Starbucks and cafe. I saw a private limo completely burned out and remember an article trying to raise money for the guy.
No.
Debtors prison.
What does he do on Halloween?
What about those vandals (terrorists) who spray-painted the clothing of Iraq/Afghan war widows as they, the war widows, tried to enter one of the inaugural balls?
Those terrorists should have been hung.
While I do agree they deserve some time in prison, decades is a bit much, isnt it?
Nope. I think rioters should be shot where they stand.
