Elizabeth Warren - for your information the United States is NOT a “democracy”. It is a Republic.

Also for your information, the founding fathers set up the electoral college as a way to prevent a few states with large populations to RULE FOREVER over citizens of the smaller states.

The way I see it, the Electoral College’s purpose is the same as the US Senate - to preserve sovereign States Rights by limiting the power of large-population States.

So if you want to eliminate the EC, you should also want to eliminate the US Senate.

it is not a signal of a "healthy democracy"

We aren't a democracy, healthy or otherwise.

As a tribal member, she should know the Chief is elected by the elder representatives.

If that is what Senator Warren thinks, then she can sponsor an amendment to The Constitution to change the Electoral College. It’s worked for over two-hundred years and it should be left alone.

Was your party showing us what a healthy Democracy looks like when your elite picked Hillary over Bernie?

If Hillary getting 3 million votes over Trump was 100% legal, which I doubt, greater minds than Pocahontas were smart enough to put an Electoral College in place so each state could be equally represented. If they held the vote again today, Trump vs. Hillary, we might get a true vision of who got the popular vote from “we the people”.

Other speakers included Senators such as Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Amy Klobachur, Sherrod Brown, and Kirsten Gillibrand.

Ah, the intellectual giants.

Hey, Senator Pocahontas.

At least know the basics of our electoral system.

America is NOT a democracy.

It is a representative republic.

Reminds me of Hitlery Clinton whining about the same thing while it doesn’t don on her that without the EC her rapist husband wouldn’t have won in 1992. He only got 43% of the popular vote.

No, the issue is not Republic vs Democracy.

"In 2016, nearly three million more people voted for Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump – but Trump took the presidency. That's not exactly the sign of a healthy democracy. Democracy hangs on the idea that whoever gets the most votes wins," she said."

Trump did get the most votes. What she doesn't understand is that it's not "people" who elect the president. It's the states. That the states have chosen to base their selection on an internal popular vote is immaterial.

Right out of the RAT playbook. The system that allows us to win is the only good system.

They cannot earn an election win — the MUST STEAL IT.

Actually, the person with the most votes DID win in EVERY election in 2016.

It’s just that we don’t hold a NATIONAL presidential election every four years, we hold multiple state and regional elections to determine how those areas get represented when THOSE areas get to cast THEIR votes for president.

That’s why anytime I hear someone say that Hillary or anyone else won the national popular vote for president, my response is ... no, because there IS NO national popular vote for president.

You can’t win a game that isn’t being played.
