Does she want him there because she wants him there, or because it makes her look bad if he’s not?
Personally don’t care one bit about this whole thing, but I will say I do hear this line in my head every time this topic comes up....

Ha! I’m not interested either except nobody is born trash. Each person is born in God’s image - with freewill to please his/her Creator by returning His love to Him by obeying His law, and by sharing His love with His other children ——- not trash at all, but an exceptionally noble calling. But I get your point, thanks. Who can know the heart of another? I can only assume she wants her Father at her wedding because he’s her father. Best. I can do with a situation so far removed from my life, ha!
