Any object that can be used as a deadly weapon such as a knife, a bat, a brick, a rock, etc. that is in the possession of a hostile aggressor provides sufficient grounds to take down that aggressor with deadly force. No exceptions.

I know exactly what you’re saying. I listened to Savage for years before moving to where his show does not air. He has always been a loose cannon, and so occasionally comes down hard on the wrong side of an issue thereby making a complete ass of himself. It’s a sad shortcoming because he is so aggressively on target most of time.
I share your take on Savage, today. He asks “Why now”? We’ve had decades to acknowledge (not establish) the capitol of Israel. Trump has been the only POTUS to proclaim the obvious. Israel has the right to establish the capitol wherever it makes sense. And, we have the right to place OUR embassy wherever we like. I also get pissed when he makes not-so-subtle references to Jews in Brooklyn eating corned beef sandwiches and pickles. He can do better.

A karate chop is not a deadly weapon, but it’s a bare-handed assault intended to inflict bodily harm and/or death. And any such attack can be repelled, if necessary with lethal force.

IF I were in charge-—I would close the White House Briefing Room for an extended period of time for ‘fumigation’ & repair.
Issue a briefing televised for the public, but without any media questions.

What is absurd is your own silly argument. No “excuse” is required to respond with deadly force when attacked. If you feel the need for an excuse to defend yourself, that’s your problem.
