Excellent point. Maybe the Clintons and Obamas and God knows who else “took their cut” of the proceeds? With cash, you never know .

Same reason drug dealers and black market peddlers only take cash. Out arbitration response should have been a raised middle finger.

Well, since it is sometimes reported as $1.8 Billion and other times it’s $1.7 Billion in cash with nothing to trace, it’s anyone’s guess. All I know is, as usual, I didn’t get any of it.

Yes, and Gold bullion. Lots of it. Where did they get that?

Remember Mnuchin upon taking office made a visit to Ft. Knox, sort of unusual. Supposedly Treasury holds 1200 tons or so but there has been no official audit since the 1950s. Probably nothing left excep a few IOUs. At current prices 1200 tons represents at best a few months of government spending.

I questioned this just the other day. David Boyers wrote this in the Washington Times on 5/10 -

He (Trump) was talking about what critics said at the time amounted to more than a billion dollar ransom payment to Iran, freeing five Americans from Iranian jails. The Treasury Department wired the money to Iran around the same time that Tehran let three American prisoners fly out of the country.

Was that different from Bronco Bama's bribe delivery?

@RealDonad_Trump

Iran’s Military Budget is up more than 40% since the Obama negotiated Nuclear Deal was reached...just another indicator that it was all a big lie. But not anymore!

“The money came from a little-known fund administered by the Treasury Department for settling litigation claims. The so-called Judgment Fund is taxpayer money Congress has permanently approved in the event it’s needed, allowing the president to bypass direct congressional approval to make a settlement.”

Soooooo, somewhere along the line, our Congress, with the blessing of some president made this law; this “secret fund” - to legalize their embezzlements as needed?

There’s a way. Some guy in Iran has $50M of it, but he can’t get access without $10K in fees, which he doesn’t have - or should I say ‘didn’t have’.

It was all explained in an email I got.

F-Iran. The have been killing Americans for decades. They were behind the Marine Barracks bombing. Many of the armor shredding IEDs in Iraq were Iranian design. A country’s “government” that keeps sticking its middle finger at us chanting “Death to America” needs their a** kicked not the ability for them to wipe out an American city.

Hard to find out how much money we still have of Irans much to obamas chagrin.
Iran just lost a lawsuit and has been judged that they owe millions.
The money we seized will be used to pay the 9/11 lawsuit plaintiffs

"A great way to enable Iran to have untraceable funding to terrorists" and bribes paid to pass the deal

Forgive me for finishing your thought.

It was paid in cash due to lack of a money trail, and the likelihood that due to sanctions in place transfer electronically might come afoul of the law. Not to mention a trail of what the Mullahs did with that cash could be embarrassing to the Obama cult. Money went to terrorists, we didn't know that.
