President Obamas legacy is rapidly vanishing. The decision by President Trump to withdraw from the nuclear deal with Iran is the biggest blow, but its only the latest. The elimination of the individual mandate and canceling the yearly bailout of insurance companies have left Obamacare in a precarious condition. Young immigrants whose parents brought them to the United States unlawfully - so-called dreamers - are losing their legal status.
This is historic. Presidents often vow to wipe out big chunks of their predecessors legacies. President Eisenhower was going to take on the New Deal. Ronald Reagan targeted the Great Society. Both backed down. Trump, working with congressional Republicans, hasnt. Hes eager to deflate Obamas standing and inflate his own.
Obama and Democrats have made Trumps efforts surprisingly easy.
As much as Obama and Democrats are to blame, the shrinking of Obamas legacy isnt entirely their fault. A good bit is the result of Trumps success and canny choice of issues. On foreign policy, does anyone want to return to the days of appeasing North Korea? Should the American embassy in Israel be moved back to Tel Aviv at the earliest opportunity? Ought we go back to insisting that concessions by Israel provide a path to peace in the Middle East?

I hate the word ‘legacy’ when it comes to Obama. ‘Legacy’ has sort of a positive ring to it. I prefer “debris field”.
With Obama's micromanaging of The Military, Christians in the Middle East got slaughtered by the thousands!!
That will be Obama's Legacy!
Appropriately, in red!
Indeed. Obama left "collateral damage" in the wake of his policies.
Wiped clean .....like WITH A CLOTH! Great meme potential, Trump with a package of Qwipes.
May the memory of OBAMA soon be as well remembered as that of Pope Joan. Real or imaginary myth. Who knows?
I think Barnes sort of misses two key points.
1) Obama’s unadulterated personal and partisan hubris drove him to refuse to negotiate, compromise, or work towards a bipartisan solution. Over and over Obama declared that HE won; Republicans were the ones that drove the car in the ditch. It was always Obama’s way. He was always on the right side of history. He always declared that, “that’s not who we are”. Obama was an egotistical ruler who would simply NOT suffer the indignity of having someone else’s imprint on policy as he alone was right and anyone else simply polluted his higher vision.
2) Donald Trump is not Eisenhower, and in some regards, Reagan, and certainly not Bush. All those before acquiesced to the Swamp, and by doing so, they strengthened it. All of them had a blind spot for concerning themselves with the media, which has long been a known tool of the Democrats. Only Donald Trump had the personal wealth and the hardscrabble personality to say nuts to the festering Swamp and, finally, finally, say NUTS to the corrupt MSM.
Obarky’s legacy of hate for white America has lost it’s luster for the left. The vulture of Islam has crapped on the country far too long.
There’s one element of his “legacy” that I fear will be resolved only with blood—racial hatred.
Looks like Charlie Manson was right: American Negroes will insist on a race war.
The US taxpayer is still stuck for millions for this foreigner’s so-called library.
obama and Clintons portrait should be thrown in the trash.
How about "dumpster fire."
He had already accomplished more fame than a U.S. President, and several bigger, better houses, planes and international experiences. And thank God for it, every step of the way.
Or “aftermath.”
