It said returnees “are and always will be welcome in their homeland, where they will be received with open arms,” and “their reintegration into our society will be facilitated.”

One would think getting these hard-working Hondorans back would be an asset or the country. They should used their experiences and ties with the US to build a stronger economy in their homeland.

Here's the only reason he's sorry:

"1.1 million-plus Hondurans living in the United States, who each year send home remittances totaling some $4.2 billion, or nearly one-sixth of Honduras’ $26 billion gross domestic product."

After Trump's alleged "shit-hole countries" remark, the whole world was quick to point out that those countries aren't shit holes.

And now that they've established that, there's no reason for them not to go back. LOL!

Don't know whether that was grand strategery by Trump or not, but his enemies sure cut their own throats on this one!

It said returnees “are and always will be welcome in their homeland, where they will be received with open arms,”...

Except that you "deeply lament" their return. That really says 'welcome home.'
