Border 'apprehensions' 300% higher in April compared to a year ago....

New data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection showed 50,924 immigrants were taken into custody at the southwest border last month, a more than 40% increase from January's 35,817 reported apprehensions.....By comparison, just 15,766 people were detained in April 2017, just months into Trump's first term.

Houlton said Friday that DHS has "significantly increased" its referral rates for the prosecutions of illegal entrants.

"If you enter our country illegally, you have broken the law and will be referred for prosecution. DHS has zero tolerance for those who break the law and will no longer exempt classes or groups of individuals from prosecution. Whether you are a single adult or an adult member of a family unit, if you are apprehended you will be prosecuted and put in removal proceedings," he said.

"To those seeking to abuse our generous laws — we are watching. We will not sit back and watch our laws exploited. If you make a false immigration claim, you will be referred for prosecution. If you assist or coach individuals in making false immigration claims, you will be referred for prosecution," Houlton added.

Apprehensions have been known to 'jump from winter to spring months due to warming weather and better conditions for migrants to travel' from Central America to Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California.

“....if you are apprehended you will be prosecuted and put in removal proceedings,” he said.”

What would be wrong with just throwing them back across the border after we “chip” them with a strong admonition that “if you come back, we have a jail cell waiting for you for the next 5 years?” One of the major “inducements” to repeated entry by this trash is that we don’t have severe enough penalties for so doing. Also, we need to change our laws regarding giving them “sanctuary” if they have a good sob story about their lives in their native countries. The whole f*cking world would come here if they could, and we have to stop being the world’s patsy. Yeah, life is the $hits most everywhere else today, but if we don’t stop our “compassion” for all of them, soon, America will be just like the places their all coming from.

We shouldn’t be spending tax payor dollars on these illegal.

Give them over to the N. Korea.

They’ll get something useful out of these law breakers.

Last year the flow has fallen to a trickle because the people south of US thought we were finally going to enforce the laws and borders.
Now they see both parties have hamstrung Trump and given them the green light.

I would suspect it depends on if or not their country will take them back and all the particulars that go in that process. Unfortunately some have far better accommodations sitting in a retention camp or jail here then they would in their country and be perfectly happy doing so. That's also why they get rid of their documentation of the country they're from....you cannot deport then and they know it......masters at playing the system and or those who are assisting them....

Oh for sure.....and weather matters as well....they’ll be clamoring to get in from now on as they always do when immigration laws are hanging in the balance. It’s truly frustrating to see how they gave the system and the attorneys/activists that assist them in doing so.

Worst still when we attempt to abide by the laws already in place the courts and judges that purposely stall the process and they somehow melt into the population never to be seen again.

And certain groups here send them the info on how to get around immigration. These groups should be in jail.

.....”certain groups here send them the info on how to get around immigration. These groups should be in jail”.....

Check this out by one of their activists....

“I am an immigrant rights organizer with temporary legal status under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and I have been tracking how the federal government has been targeting my peers across the country. As I prepare to defend myself and my family against potential prosecution and deportation, I see this increasingly overt retribution as a warning sign that the right to political dissent is under threat for every person in the United States.”
