The reason there’s so much money in D.C. is that there’s so much power for sale in D.C. Duh.

It is still relevant today.

To live in Washington, D.C. or the NOVA suburbs, it costs more than $100,000+ to live in these places.

Why? Because that area’s citizenry feeds at the government trough—a trough filled with the hard-earned dollars taken from the pockets of citizens, as well as borrowings which rob future generations of children, as well!!!

They steal it from us. Walk around DC and you can feel the money bubbling up through the cracks in the sidewalk at you. It’s palpable. And infuriating.

While that is true, there is also a thriving high tech area there as well. Hubby and I lived there for over 25 years working in the computer/defense industries. Lots and lots of highly paid, well educated, well trained techies there. It’s been called the DELMARVA Silicone Valley.....

As the Russians say:

Moscow is downhill from all the Russias.

The DC area get a big bite of every affluent household’s income.

The government has a way of making things complicated. It takes smart and well-paid people to make a modern government run.

There are also well-paid people in the DC area that try to keep it in check and others that try to loot it, often successfully.
