Morning AB, All. As always, thank you AB for doing this thread so reliably and keeping the peace with gentle thread policing. Thank you Bray for weekly written wisdom, Thank all yon contributors for excellent commentary to flesh it all out.

Below are the words from my daily political diary. It is quite long so scroll on by if not interested. But do stay around and add your commentary and point of view to the thread.

Barbara Bush funeral

I did watch B. Bush's funeral and thought it odd.

First, Jeb gave a eulogy, not Dubya.

I thought it odd.

 photo barbbushgreetsrobininheaven_zpszvv3qnnd.png

George H.W. Wore the weirdest socks, pictured a shelf full of books. In honor of Barbara's legacy dealing with literacy.

It wasn't a wildly attended funeral service but it was respectable.

Van hits crowd in Toronto.

They never stop, these people. They never stop.

Also, kid charges into Waffle House in Tennessee, shoots and kills four people.

What comes from killing innocent people? Somebody explain the allure.

-------------------

As an update, note that George H.W. Bush is, as of this writing, in the hospital with a blood infection.

Finally, Rand Paul is going to vote for Pompeo for Secretary of State.

Folks got tired of Rand Paul's schtick and love of camera.

Wednesday Date-4/25/18

As of this writing, the grand state dinner to greet French president Macron has not yet begun.

But descriptions, and pictures, of the dining setup has been published.

Melania Trump is arranging the event and she's a lady with class.

-----------------------

Have you all heard of Alfie Evans?

He is a 23 months old child with a degenerative brain disease, living in the United Kingdom.

They want to remove him (as of this writing have ALREADY removed him) from life support. His parents have obtained permission to move their son to Italy, with Italy's permission.

The cost to England would be nothing but WHY WON'T THE GOVERNMENT LET THESE PARENTS TAKE THEIR KID???

The government takes the position that the child is in too severe a shape to try to keep alive.

The government?

This is where we're heading folks.

-Golden State Killer captured

Joseph James DeAngelo, 72, was captured yesterday.

 photo goldenstatekiller_zpsce32cpnt.png

What a fine, fine person, A FORMER COP!!!

He probably won't get the death penalty for his age but he killed and raped many.

On his last breath, wherever it may be taken, he will awake in hell the next second after death.

-----------------------------

England is determined to kill little baby Alfie Evans.

How about Kate Middleton, and Will, come out in defense of little Alfie? After all, they just had a child of their own.

I understand that little Alfie is dying. I don't think all the medical people can be wrong.

But Alfie's parents should be making the decision and they've gotten another country (Italy) to take the baby, even had a medical helicopter fly in to take him away.

Alfie's care would cost England not a dime.

Nonetheless they are going to intentionally starve the baby as the parents watch.

Lookit, even if keeping Alfie alive is a mistake, his parents should make that mistake. There would be hundreds of medical people, in Italy, watching over the child. If the time comes, they will tell the truth.

But in the end, it's on the parents.

Coming soon to America near you….OBAMACARE!!!!

Friday Date-4/27/18

Yes I did tune into Fox's Brett's interview of famous, honest and never lying former head of the FBI, James Comey.

First, he says the infamous Steele dossier was began by Republicans.

He knows better than that.

From then on it was "my interpretation" or some such, any way to remove his lies from the public ears.

Comey…..a big zero.

Saturday Date-4/28/18

Kim Jung Un goes to South Korea.

Seriously. Is there any reason for this guy with the worst haircut in the world to keep shooting off bombs all over the Korean peninsula with no stopping him?

I know China is behind Kim Jung-Un but my guess is that China has to deal with President Trump and President Trump is not taking any nonsense.

 photo trumpnorthkorea_zpsnci5ibs1.jpg

Yesterday the head of both North and South Korea and it's time for Kim Jung-Un, a man whose people eat leaves and trash, to stop aside.

As for China, maybe they're a little sick of the nut jobs in North Korea messing up Asia and they know it's time to move along.

Four things on Korea:

1. Trump toughened up the sanctions, and even passed an EO going after any company that does business with the NORKS (which is a violation of UN Sanctions). If any of these companies was also doing business in the USA—or had associations that were, they were in big trouble here. So THAT stopped. These sanction-breakers, plus China (see 2 below) were really providing the only fuel and food for the NORKS. Without it, they’re hanging by a thread. Now, I don’t think Kim is a nice guy, but he has to constantly watch his back. If the army turns on him, for example, he’s toast.

2. LOTS of pressure on China. We don’t know the extent and the issues brought up, but Trump had Xi’s ear and the Chicoms started their pressure on the NORKS.

3. Somehow (or by someone), their underground nuclear test site suffered a catastrophe. It is said to have “chimney-ed” and is leaking radioactivity into the atmosphere (like Chernobyl?) and the site is very close to the Chinese border. So China is not happy.

4. Trump proves to the world he is not some wishy-washy feel-good guy. He’s tough enough, and PORTRAYS a crazy side that worries the world and dictators especially. I think he’s crazy like a fox, not insane, and uses it to his advantage. And recent acts in Syria and elsewhere prove that the USA has NOT let its military weaken. They’re still the world’s best at shock and awe when they need to be. And Russia is powerless in a direct confrontation.

The Kim Jong story is superlative. Everyone is wondering what happened that fat Kim is all of a sudden ready to give up after decades of family feuds with every weak potus we have ever had.wHat gives?

Truth is Trump socked him with some really good sanctions, blew up his stuff underground to the point where Kim who was already broke just gave up. And then Trump got the chicoms to apply some heat as well.

Kim fearing for his very survival got real friendly real quick and now is best buds with everyone after murdering and torturing for decades.

We now have the best potus we have had in possible over 100 years.

Those wild socks of Poppy’s IMO were a sly homage to his long-time sexual servicing taste for boys.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Following the wishes of Barbara Bush:

“In a statement released Friday, the family said Barbara Bush had selected son Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor, to deliver a eulogy along with her longtime friend Susan Baker, wife of former Secretary of State James A. Baker III, and historian Jon Meacham, who wrote a 2015 biography of her husband.”
