It might be smart to see what the grand jury Sessions has impaneled (at least one, maybe more) before saying anything.
It is well known that he is working closely with the IG and that he has hired a highly qualified attorney to be his own special investigator.
There is merit to Sessions not being a news hound and thus jeopardizing success.

The waiting has already caused significant damage to Trump's agenda, and will almost certainly damage the GOP in the midterm election and might even cost us one or both majorities. Contrast that with an AG that steered the investigation toward the DNC collusion with Russia and other foreign nations, the bribe that was given to McCabe's wife, CIA/FBI interference with the election via Bruce and Nellie Ohr. And that's just a start. There is no 3D chess going on here, Sessions has been a disaster.
