It will be interesting to see what the punishment will be for an 80 YO man.


I’m guessing it will be that his hiers will lose everything in civil suits.

There already was a civil suit and he paid her 3.2 million. The judge agreed that the records were to be sealed.

The AP sued to have the records unsealed and the judge in that case (first Cuban judge, appointed by GHW Bush) ruled that because Cosby made that speech about morality of black youth that he became a public person, not eligible to have the records sealed, and therefore, they were unsealed.

The DA race in Montco centered on trying Cosby so it already was a political football. Of course, they had to try several times to get a conviction.

I doubt it. My bet is that years before these allegations were made, he set up irrevocable trusts and family limited partnerships that severely limit the victims' ability to collect. He might voluntarily pay out a few million to save on attorneys fees and protect against the inherent uncertainties of litigation, but he and his heirs are not going broke on this.
