You know, in fairness you can’t fault Cruz if he does have some scars from his youth. Many of us do.

Agree. My heart goes out to Cruz and both sisters. It was a rough row to hoe.
Otoh, the idea of trusting Cruz is foreign to me. I have watched him lie. His skill in that arena is frankly scary. Yes, it’s no doubt the outgrowth of a defense mechanism engendered by his upbringing. But the end result is the same regardless.
