Of course it was
Bet a slip and fall lawyer set it up....Starbucks should have just said the policy applies to everyone....Holly should find a lawyer...
Down where I live they arrested a lawyer for setting up sip and falls at WalMart and Public Markets
I thought the same. I’ve been to Starbucks many times waiting for someone...And I’ve just walked into the restroom without asking. Why would you ask to use the restroom?
It is obvious after reading this fine article. But has anybody else noticed it was a setup? This is the first I’ve read any details about the incident. The press has framed it as two innocent black entrepreneurs sitting is Starbucks getting arrested for “peaceably waiting while black.”
Possibly because the restroom was locked and you had to get the key from the clerk.
I' often used the restroom FIRST, before I order the coffee. What's the point of carrying it to the restroom with you after you've ordered, or hoping it doesn't get bused from the table by staff while you're away?

Because in many areas the Starbuck’s restrooms are locked and you have to ask for a key.
Has Seth Rich's murderer been found YET?
Blockbusting?
My aunt told me back in the day one of my ancestor/relatives would go around with one particular black guy and they would sit down in the restaurants in town to see if anybody tried to refuse them service. Course, they were payin’ customers.
Holly is the one who was treated unjustly. She was fired and had her life ruined. Various non-White websites are threatening her. She deserves an apology plus 3-4 million dollars in reparations from the non-White websites and newspapers.
Some locations lock the doors.
She won’t get it. Nobody likes a racist. /s
I thought about it, and I realized that it wasn’t so long ago that such minor travesties and often much, much worse were things black people lived through every day. ...

No need for such an apologetic beginning of an otherwise thoughtful article. I don’t recall whites ever having a right to loiter without paying, especially when floor space was small, as it is in a typical Starbucks.
The incident at the golf course yesterday seems like a set-up as well. The “reporter” never did get around to telling us just how long it took the four women to play the first hole.
I was refused service at a Denny’s one time.
BTW, I’m white.
Ok, fine..Then wouldn’t you say? “We’re waiting for a friend, then we’ll be ordering.”
Also, I saw one unconfirmed report that the two patrons used vulgarities with the manager, i.e. threatened her, when she asked them to order something.
LIke ordering wedding photos/cake for a gay wedding
In the ghetto? Oops, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Starbucks in a poor neighborhood.
I doubt that the restrooms are locked.
Can you imagine being bothered 100 times per day to give someone the key for the restroom? The restrooms here in Southwest GA are not locked.
