Hundreds of migrants arrive at the Mexican border seeking asylum in the U.S.
Groups of people from Central America camped by the border wall Monday with tents and sleeping bags as they waited for their asylum pleas to be processed.
They came as a part of a caravan allegedly fleeing violence and poverty in their native countries.
The caravan started with about 1,200 migrants, but has reportedly thinned to around 600.
President Trump has since taken to Twitter to announce he plans to keep the migrants from entering the country.

I don’t understand why anyone has to speak with them at all. If there’s a wall there, as the article says, then just stand firm and stop anyone from crossing the wall. Other than that, they can have a nice long camping trip where they are - thanks to Mexico.
President Trump should give orders to the military to act accordingly.
Give the "migrants" one hour to turn back. That's more than generous.
If they won't budge, open fire. And don't give care as to who is in range.
They are from countries outside of Mexico - they can ask for asylum in Mexico where they are certainly ‘safe’ from whatever was going on in their home countries. My personal thoughts are that we not are under any obligation to allow asylum seekers into our country from Mexico. Mexico has a nice little game going on where they funnel these folks on through their country without dealing with them & then foist them off on the USA.
They escaped their own country. They traveled thousands of miles through Mexico. Why is it that they can't stay in Mexico. Why are they seeking asylum ONLY in the U.S. -- besides all the free taxpayer stuff they're all hoping for, that is.

600 people crossing the border illegally would be a very slow day.
I thought the general rule was to seek asylum in the first country you came to. Yes, why not seek asylum in Mexico?

That’s right. They are *not* here to do your lawns. This is a war declared by MS-13, bringing our other enemies, eg ISIS along with them.

And in the spirit of NAFTA, we should do exactly the same: bus them all right through America up to Canadian border stations, with instructions on getting Canadian refugee status, and dump them off. And make a very big deal about Trudeau’s past statements that Canada will take refugees we won’t.

And if they take one step across, eject them right on the spot.
America is OVER if they start letting in giant columns of migrants march in the way the EU did.
The truth is, we should invade Mexico and seize about a mile in from the border. Raze it into a DMZ if the Mexicans refuse to stop this crap.
