A Baptist pastor in Dallas is facing some harsh realities more than a year after leading his congregation to affirm homosexuality.

In November 2016, Wilshire Baptist Church voted to extend membership to those involved in the homosexual lifestyle. The church's slogan is now "Open to all, closed to none."

The action prompted the Baptist General Convention of Texas to sever ties with the church. A year later, Chelsen Vicari decided to contact senior pastor George Mason to see how the church has been affected by the change.

Another apostate church withers on its way to an inexorable death. People local to DFW will notice the numerous plugs for Wilshire Baptist on radio stations as they desperately try to stem the bleeding.

He is lying and should not be a Baptist Preacher - he knew full well he would be severed from the Baptist Convention but being a greedy plate grabbing “Gotta-a-Great-Gig” cowboy, he probably is a liberal as they come.

"But Mason's main point of rebuttal, according to Vicari, seems to be that churches across the country are struggling with attendance."

Churches are struggling with attendance because there are very few that preach and teach a true gospel. If they did, I'll bet people would be beating down the doors.

See my tagline.

"open to all, closed to none."

What the hell does that even mean, except to some kind of vague, cheap virtue-signalling gesture? Our world runs on these empty slogans now - politics, religion, commerce.

All sinners are welcome in my church. Just don’t expect us to affirm your sin and pretend it’s alright.

Why be Christian if all lifestyles are equal?

People who want a liberal church can join a mainline denomination.

If you want commitment to a Bible-believing lifestyle, there are options.

That Baptist church doesn’t represent it.

I am tired of the LGBTQIDIOTs. While sinners belong in church (thank God!), that is only once they are at least close to ready to repent, not when they are still celebrating and recruiting to expand their numbers.

The more conservative churches, like the fairly new Presbyterian Church of America, are practically exploding in growth.

A church that isn’t calling sinners to repentance isn’t doing its job.

It’s my old church. Certainly, not what they taught when I went there. They even had boys and girls swimming in different pools back then.

“Vicari says she’s praying that the Holy Spirit will open the church’s eyes to God’s truth so that they can spread the gospel without compromise.”

Except the little part about affirming homosexuality, huh?

Yep. Not based on any scripture whatsoever, either.

I want to be careful how I say this.

But, radical/activist homosexuals, also tend to be irreligious.

Trying to say, he should not have expected some ground swell of new homosexual members.

But on the other hand, should have anticipated some criticism from existing members. And in the worst case, attrition of members who don’t abide the new policy if the church.

Also s want to say, liberals in general, who would applaud this virtue signal, also tend to be irreligious. So this virtue signal to the liberal crowd likewise would yield very few new members.
