Fake, ginned up emotional outraged calculated to aid a certain group of wealthy Liberals in seizing control of more power by pushing the propaganda that Global warming is a real threat and that Fossil Fuels (people with power and wealth not under their control) are the enemy of mankind.
I see a parallel to what was happening in the 19th century. The "free soil" party was headquartered in New York. They were also promoting a "crises" that wasn't really a "crises."
