Just suppose that all the candidates were honest & some of them knew that they didn’t stand a chance of getting elected as long as truth was forthcoming. Well then, wouldn’t that party need to put forth a better candidate who had an honest chance? If they did this,then the funds spent to try to fool the American public,funds spent to back an unworthy candidate...this would have all been unnecessary. To me,that would seem like a win-win for about everyone,including the American public. That is IF the purpose of the government was to do the bidding of the American people.
