I’ve kept up closely with this whole matter. This suit boils down to the basic allegation that the Trump campaign, the Russian government, and Wikileaks conspired to have the Russian intelligence services hack the DNC, transfer the hacked emails to Wikileaks, and have Wiki publish them, thereby damaging the Witch’s campaign. So far there only appear to be two pieces of “evidence” to support this:

1) the DNC-commissioned Crowdstrike evaluation of the DNC servers that purports to have found “proof of Russian hacking” and

2) one or more statements in Steel Dossier that that say the Russians hacked the DNC.

The problems with 1) is are that the DNC refused to let the FBI examine its servers, Crowdstrike was the DNC’s contractor, Assange has denied the Russians provided the information, and the only present outside analysis that’s been done concluded the data transfer rates were so high that the extractions could only have been done internally. Item 2), the Steele Dossier, is even worse because its allegations are inadmissible third hand hearsay, at best.

In short that leaves the DNC with zero, zip, nada evidence to support this suit.

This suit is a DNC fundraiser.

The DNC is broke. This suit allows them to play their favorite role - the underdog, the victim of the overwhelming forces of Republicans, Conservatives, talk radio, the VRWC, the evil Koch Bros., Wikileaks, or whichever boogieman best serves their purposes this time, so they can shake down the Democrat base for money. They will claim it is to support their legal expenses, but money is fungible.

It’s actually fairly smart, considering that normal fundraising has been terrible (thanks to Hillary), and the statute of limitations means they can’t wait too long.

I’d pay to watch that. Hope it’s televised.

I’m hoping this is mentioned by the defense as a frivolous lawsuit, allowing for punitive sanctions. Appropriate sanctions might be requested to prevent the DNC from being able to finance any further campaigns, as in hundreds of millions of $$$. Wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Get the DNC servers. Have them examined by the FBI.

Democrat delusion is complete and terminal. This suit will completely destroy the dim party. Well, bye!

You know how this will go:

“Judge, we’d like to bring up the matter of Seth Rich.”

“Denied!”

“Judge, we’d like to bring up the matter of the Clinton campaign financing of the Russian dossier.”

“Denied!”

“Judge, we’d like to bring up the matter of the DNC computer.”

“Denied!”

“Judge, we’d like to bring up the matter of destruction of evidence.”

“Denied!”

ad infinitum...

The rats will send their talking heads out to make the case and the headlines from the usual suspects will be all over the media. Some people will believe what they hear and read about this. The rats probably think this will help with their main goal - taking back the house. So they are risking this backfiring at some point for a shorter term goal.

I doubt there is anything to examine unless they have backup tapes, server images, and log files from the time period. They rebuilt the server farm from scratch..

Crowdstrike was the DNC’s contractor,

I am not sure how extensive Crowdstrike's relationship was with the DNC. They came in to review how Bernie's people got access to one of Hillary's databases and then again for the DNC hack. There was a second IT firm with offices in Chicago and Washington that also worked for the DNC. I think they managed some aspect of their IT infrastructure..

The 66-page suit doesn’t mention the Christopher Steele dossier, an investigation financed by the very same DNC as well as the Hilary Clinton campaign and sourced to Kremlin operatives.

Why isn't the DNC sueing themselves? I'm just about ready to start another thread. Didn't Bernie get payed off? Oh, and about that Awan brothers thang...

The DNC knows that the Russians did not hack them and give the emails to Wikileaks. They wouldn’t have bothered to kill Seth Rich if that were the case.

Funny how all the leaks were of emails that were sent before Rich was assassinated.
