Skip to comments. No Judges Confirmed This Week
Posted on 04/21/2018 4:21:39 AM PDT by cotton1706
This will be a weekly post.
Count remains at 32.
The Senate confirmed son other waiting nominees but no judges.
Supposedly, McConnell is going to begin to grind through the backlog that Grassley has sent to the floor.
But I'll believe it when I see it. I've been doing these weekly posts since late summer and have seen McConnell's pattern: an an intentional slow slog since ALL the nominees are conservative.
If they were moderate-liberal, BY GOD we'd see the Senate move, with record numbers.
The record is clear: Only three judges confirmed since March 6th and three day work weeks.
The GOPe remains clueless as to what to do with a majority.
We are getting nowhere with Trump blaming the Dems on twitter. Seems he has no way to push Turtle/Grass to move faster.
This is just not the GOPe’s priority. Not really sure what is their priority.
What can we DO? I hate Congress!

Contact senators “confirmPompeo”. Leave message on answering machine or email
Also on twitter please use liberally all weekend # ConfirmPompeo #confirmpompeo
MC C is also on that list. Give him a piece of your mind.
I’m from Pompeo’s area with 2 GOP senators and they won’t do anything but swim in the swamp! I’ll call their office again next week but it doesn’t do any good.
Alison Grimes was the lesser evil.
They are not clueless, they are corrupt.
Bush League Republicans have been colluding with the Democrats for decades.
Keeping the Cheap Labor Express running.
How many did Obama have confirmed at this point I wonder? Or w or Clinton? For comparison.
Mitch should be pestered continually on the delays.
How many of the ones nominated by the three you mentioned would have adhered to their oath to uphold the constitution?
Leave a message for McConnell and Rand Paul too. Their obstructionist behavior is uncalled for IMO
Just mention that;
The Republican Senate minority leaders personal wealth grew seven-fold over the last ten years thanks in large part to a gift given to him and his wife in 2008 from James Chao worth between $5 million and $25 million (Senate ethics forms require personal finance disclosures in ranges of amounts, rather than specific figures). The gift helped the McConnells after their stock portfolio dipped in the wake of the financial crisis that year, and ensured they could pay off more than $100,000 in mortgage debt on their Washington home.
James Chao...father in law..and highly connected to Chicom shiping industry.,
and the other relative on the BOD of Chicom naval shipyards company.
Oh few I suppose. I am just wondering how Trumps confirmation rate compares to his recent predecessors. Is he on pace? Ahead? Behind? I dont know where to research this so thought the op might already know.
this is deliberate stalling by the uniprty.
“”The Senate confirmed son other waiting nominees but no judges.””
What does that mean?
Son equals some!
